Of course he can. The question is, how consistently can he do it for the whole fight? That's the big factor you have to look at when it comes to beating Floyd. It's not about catching him flush at a few times in a round or two[and hitting him in every rounds] because that's very easy to do against every defensive wizards, but it's more so about consistently landing your punches at a high consistent accurate level for the whole fight. And by accurate, i don't mean that you can throw 20 punches per round and landing 10 per round 50%, because that won't be effective enough even though it's very accurate.

If by any chance you catch him flush and can't get the KO victory, then you're eventually going to have to find a way to land your punches consistently just to keep up with him landing on you because he'll have an easier time landing his punches on you than you will have landing on him. If by any chance that Manny throw 60 punches per round, he must connect at least 30% of them[18 punches per round], that would be enough to not only keep up with Floyd on the scorecard; but he would have the advantage of winning the fight due to having the higher punching output to win it on activity alone.

That's like throwing albert pujoles a fast ball with nothing on it.
Well that's not true when pAcman fought marquez and cotto and would get hit with a big shot he had to stop or reset or after he threw a flury he he needed a rest so if you really think he'll walk threw floyds and just keep punching when he couldn't do that aginst lesser fighters then that's foolish if you really don't believe me watch those fights.

The main problem with ortiz was that he couldnt fight going backward, but with pacquiao thats a non issue, because if mayweather tries to walk manny down, its good night for mayweather. To the people that say mayweather was DOMINATING the fight, NO WAY! It was competetive the whole fight. To this day i want to groin shot ortiz for throwing that head butt, i dont what he was thinking. All i know is after watching that fight, mayweather has definitley lost a step and pacman will beat him.
Child Please! Ortiz had Floyd on the ropes and landed some flurries and that was it...It might have appeared Ortiz was coming on but it was nothing more then that he was getting his a$$ whipped and started going for broke...Ortiz got caught up in the moment and that's when he launched his head into Floyd's chin...which he was attempting every time he had Floyd against the ropes...it was clear that his game plan was to rough Floyd up and when Ortiz realized it wasn't working he became frustrated...

If Floyd and Manny ever fight...Floyd will walk Manny down as well! Roach trains his fighters to be aggressive and jump in and out...That's only way they know how to fight...Where as Floyd can walk you down or counter punch his opponent and pot shot them all night...Floyd will have a 5 or 6 inch reach advantage over Manny and his jab will keep Manny at bay all night...not to mention Floyd's straight right hand...The straight right is the most effective punch against a south paw...Manny's offensive is his defense and he will not be able to connect against Floyd like he has against his last several opponents and will leave himself open for counters...although I do believe Manny will land but his connect percentage will be very low....which makes me believe Manny will have to throw more punches then usual that will cause him to fatigue in the later rounds and become even more open for shots...

Prediction....Roach stops the fight in the 10th or 11th as Manny's eyes become swollen shut and more then likely have a few cuts...

It's clear to me that alot of these posts aren't real debates just ****** comments from unreasonable fans of boxers. I have to side with Floyd this time and I don't always. I respect anyone who just wants Floyd to lose cause he talks to much, but these idiots crack me up. You probably weren't a Pac fan until he started saying "Floyd doesn't want to fight me". If it wasn't Floyd we're talking about, you would be forced to point out the suspect competition Manny is always fighting.Pac the awsome fighter was already there but Pac the mega-star exists because he is attached to Floyd and you know it. I sat on my couch many fights hoping somebody shuts May's mouth but some of ya'll should just chill with dumb welfare comments and ducking comments. And Pac IS NOT going to beat Floyd, heck he might not even beat Bradley, but until he fights someone who can actually fight ( aside from a very B level cotto) we won't know will we?

I think he could potentially score an early rd ko of Floyd if he is able to get close fast and shock floyd with the speedy powerful combos but after a few rounds Floyd will adjust and Pac doesn't really in fights he just follows Freddies game plan.
how is that possible when he hasnt done that to any other opponent besides hatton?

lets not over rate pacs power. he will not ko floyd. if anyone ends up ko, i can see Pac getting ko by floyd not the other way around

Co-sign. He's going to have to throw 85 punches per round[1,020 total punches] against a very effective defensive counter-puncher which would be very unlikely since Floyd is a much better counter puncher than Clottey and slightly throw more punches at a much higher accurate connect percentage. If Manny were to connect only 20% of 85 punches per round[17 punches per round, and 204 total], He'd do real damage on Floyd since 15 out of those 17 punches would be power punches. However, it's very highly unlikely Manny would throw 1,020 punches against Floyd.

Yeah thats the way James Toney knows how to fight, same with Michael Moorer and Israel Vazquez, I mean all of Roachs fighters only fight one way jumping in and out.....

You can re re re re re re and re watch the fight 10 more times. Vic's problem was he was getting punched in the face very hard by accurate shots. Vic survived because he weighed 165 lbs. Unless manny somehow adds another 20lbs to his frame, there is nothing from the floyd/vic fight that translates to a potential floyd/manny fight.
