Ortiz's reach had nothing to do with being effective against floyd, it was his speed and timing. He shot a quick left to the body and quick left hands to his head. By walking pac man down, your playing into his game. Cotto walked manny down as well, and he got hit with combos. That's when cotto stopped walking him down and started running for his life. The reason why this fight is gonna be the hardest test of floyd's life is because he wont have the same time to think about his approach like with his other opponents. He's gonna have to think defense first with manny. If he thinks offense first, he's 100% without a doubt going to get caught, and then KO'd.
Pacquiao won't know what to do when Floyd is coming forward with his high guard and not giving Pacquiao any openings, while making openings for himself. He will keep his guard up, but unlike Clottey, Mayweather actually counters, and very fast at that. He counters very fast and as you saw in the Ortiz fight, he still has his reflexes. What is Pacquiao going to do when Floyd has his high guard on? He can't throw 1,000 punches like he did to Clottey, cause he'll just get countered to death. Floyd will come forward to Pacquiao, easier than he did against Mosley and Ortiz. Mayweather will look as huge as he looked against Marquez on fight night[Remember how small Marquez looked? Marquez and Pacquiao are the "same size"]. Pacquiao will finally be in against a bigger fighter, who's not only big, but he's super fast, has cat like reflexes, accurate right hands and left hooks, superior defense, long arms, and can basically beat Pacquiao two ways, by boxing and by fighting. While Pacquiao only has a KO chance to win. Cause Pacquiao is not beating Floyd by boxing, you know this right? And Pacquiao does not have that "bully". And even if he did, he's too small to bully Floyd. If you notice, Ortiz was bullying Floyd a lot and that was only cause he's big. Pacquiao can't do that.

What will he do when floyd's guard is up high!? He'll shoot the left to his body and back floyd up, or even shoot a left to the head. You basically asking floyd to become target practice for manny by walking him down. Floyd would never walk down a completely fresh manny, and manny dont tire out like judah. Manny can beat floyd just by catching him while they are boxing. I understadn where your getting at with ortiz being bigger, but manny's speed is something floyd has never encountered. The question is what will floyd do, when manny gets though that high guard, and then jumps to the side and lets off combos on his head.

i didnt know floyd's forearms were cement walls? Manny can get through floyd's guard without a doubt, ortiz caught him with the left and the right while floyd was backing up and not in the corner. Manny can too, and then some.

Settle down my young *******, You don't have to like the truth, you just have to accept it. But why beat a dead horse? If the megafight happened it would almost be disappointing for the mere fact that you all would have nothing more to hang on to anymore but the pubes off of his sack.
He probably wouldn't even get a rematch, Floyd would probably retire right after just to rub it in even more. Going out like Marciano.

Floyd does not leave his body exposed enough for Pacquiao to hit it, while his guard is up. If Pacquiao tries to reach for Floyd's body, he will get make Floyd's night even easier.

And @ your last sentence. I can't do anything but smile at that comment. Lol Floyd will just stand there looking slow while Pacquiao "jumps" to the side. This sounds like a fairy tale story. Pacquiao, or no boxer, gets away with "jumping" at the elite level. Hatton "jumped" in to a check left hook against Floyd. Teddy Atlas also called out Shawn Porter on his "hopping/jumping" around calling it "amateurish", because an elite boxer "can time you" while you hop, because when you're gonna attack, you have to stop jumping around, a smart boxer will just time you. Let Pacquiao jump around against Floyd, he'll see how useless that really is against a boxer type.

                    This. ^
If he jumps around near Floyd, with the accuracy and speed that he possesses he will time a shot perfectly and catch him mid-hop and send him to the canvas. That would be hilarious, but I expect Manny to be just a little bit smarter than that. At least try and make it competitive.

The main problem with ortiz was that he couldnt fight going backward, but with pacquiao thats a non issue, because if mayweather tries to walk manny down, its good night for mayweather. To the people that say mayweather was DOMINATING the fight, NO WAY! It was competetive the whole fight. To this day i want to groin shot ortiz for throwing that head butt, i dont what he was thinking. All i know is after watching that fight, mayweather has definitley lost a step and pacman will beat him.
U also gotta consider the fact that Ortiz is and was the BIGGER man walking down the smaller man. So of course floyd couldnt block everything. But fighting someone smaller like a pacman, marquez, hatton...floyd is bigger, stronger, and able to handle them better. He'll be able to walk pacman down and possibly stop him....dont take my word for it...

Floyd probably lost a step but it will take him losing a leg and a arm for pac to beat him..
