re re watched mayweather vs ortiz

Yea.. true for the most part. Just looking through this thread alone.. I see more thinking it will be easy for Floyd.

Floyd should have no issues with the 1 dimensional Pacquiao.. but what's the hold up? Easy money right?

These guys thinks that getting hit flush few times in a fight is as equivalent as getting at a consistent level for a whole fight like Margarito gets hit.

Nope.. it's that nobody is invincible/untouchable. The true greats were not undefeated.. they dared to be GREAT. Floyd is Great.. but not untouchable.

and from what i see floyd cannot fight off the ropes and cant deal with
pressure we all saw what shane did to him..and ortiz couldve..with ease...floyd gets the win..but he isin't the same fighter...shiet the floyd that beat JMM was much faster..than the floyd vs ortiz..

ill admit shane did hardly shiet after but floyd was running for his life after that shot..didnt wanna exchange..off the ropes..

fact is floyd isint the same floyd..and he cannot fight off the ropes..

I actually think Marquez is winning this fight style wise its going to be a tough match, add the new conditioning methods in there, and the mental advantage Marquez feels he won twice, he isnt mentally unsure of himself as if he was actually beaten so he will have the confidence here.

Manny wants the knock out to eliminate any doubt, that is a dangerous mix and how many times have we thought we were going to get the mega fight, keep in mind Lewis Tyson, and guess what Rahman kinda became a speed bump....

who knows Marquez could get blown out, Manny has improved but to me it comes down to styles and mental toughness

good points, but i dont see marquez winning this fight. I just think at ww, manny is way too strong. In their previous fights manny was always off balance and got pushed around a little, but in this fight, i think manny's going to be too strong. Although marquez did ease into his weight better for this fight, i think manny's style has changed so much that marquez is gonna get ko'd.

I watched the may ortiz fight for the second time. Although maywaether was landing the right leads, that didnt deter ortiz from pressing forward. As soon as it got to the ropes, mayweather didnt have the same coordination with his hands to block all those lead lefts as well. The main problem with ortiz was that he couldnt fight going backward, but with pacquiao thats a non issue, because if mayweather tries to walk manny down, its good night for mayweather. To the people that say mayweather was DOMINATING the fight, NO WAY! It was competetive the whole fight. To this day i want to groin shot ortiz for throwing that head butt, i dont what he was thinking. All i know is after watching that fight, mayweather has definitley lost a step and pacman will beat him.

If Mayweather tries to walk down Pacquiao, he will be successful, because although Pacquiao is very fast and powerful, Pacquiao is not big and tall like Victor Ortiz, which does come in handy. Pacquiao might be better than Ortiz, but he's very small and can be backed down by some one as smart as Floyd. A brute, come forward fighter like Margarito, backed Manny up in to the ropes. Mayweather is smarter than Margarito and can definitely find a way to back Pacquiao up while still keeping his defense intact. Ortiz is stronger, bigger, and taller than Pacquiao. To compare how Floyd would do against Pac, it's much closer to look at the Mitchell, Corley and Judah fights, not the Ortiz fight. Ortiz is too big to take him as an example of how Floyd will look agaist Pacquiao, who's 20lbs lighter, and 3 inches shorter than Ortiz, Pacquiao also has a shorter reach. Take all of this in to account.
