It's kinda sad that Pacquiao is wasting his prime years on these meaningless fights. It has now been two years for crying out loud !!

Do you guys agree or do you think that Manny's resume did improve since the Cotto fight?
Good god no. I don't know how many times I have explained this.

Pac is still living off the 2009 CW win vs Cotto. Every single fight since than has been vs in house Top Rank garbage. Not to mention the fraudulent "run" at JMW. It is actually embarrassing that he is considered one of the Top P4P fighters right now.

It's funny as the people who argue these statements always start off with "but Floyd"...........

Barrera was a good a win.
Marquez he has yet to beat. Nobody considers beating somebody by an inch, of a fraction, of a margin a win.
DelaHoya coming off a loss. Sorry but beating Forbes isn't a "confidence gaining boost".
      Cotto, sure good win.
Margarito coming off a loss. Sorry but beating some random guy in Mexico wouldn't rebuild my pride after getting knocked out by Shane.

When Oscar stepped into the ring with Pacquiao, he wasn't thinking "hey I beat Steve Forbes, I still got it!" He was thinking well I lost the big one with Floyd, I'm just getting my check.

When Margarito stepped into the ring with Pacquiao, he wasn't thinking "hey I beat that random Mexican guy that nobody even cares for and CHOWWOKKA won't even bother finding out his name because he is that much of a bum!" He was thinking well last big fight I got knocked the **** out and busted for loaded gloves.

Then of course their is the whole catch weight and weight draining, which you already know about so I won't go into that.

BTW buddy if you're going to call someone dumb, try using proper grammar when you do it.

I agree except for Marquez. Marquez does a lot for Mannys legacy. He needs to stop him or beat him throughly. I think Marquez will shock the world saturday.

I agree that Clottey and Mosley were a total waste of time, I said so when both fights were announced. Terrible matchmaking. I wouldn't lump Margarito in there because many fans wanted to see that fight, how would Manny deal with a real hard man, the only bs was the JrMW belt they supposedly fought for. It should have been a 147 fight for Manny's title not a meaningless CW.

It's clear to see what Arum is doing with Manny's career, he squeezing as much revenue out of his star by carefully matching him against fighters that are beatable. I don't think we'll see Manny fight anyone young and dangerous until his final couple of fights. Most likely Khan or Bradley or Jones. Then final fight will be the mega payday against Floyd. I think that's his plan, until then it will be beatable names on the slide.

Fans being excited about a matchup doesn't necessarily means it adds to your resume. And in this case, it certainly doesn't.

De La Hoya = De La Hoya weight drained

Erik Morales Rematches = Morales weight drained

                      Agapito Sánchez = Draw

Singsurat = Pacquiao lost by knock out

Torrecampo = Pacquiao lost by knock out

Erik Morales at his real weight = Pacquiao lost

                      Clottey = Nobody

Hatton = Lost his undefeated record against Mayweather

Mosley = Mosley was 39 years old

Marquez III = Fighting a 38 YEAR OLD LIGHTWEIGHT

+ Pacquiao beat Mayweather’s left overs when they were at their worst moments :

Ricky Hatton : Lost his undefeated record

De La Hoya : Weight drained (so Pacquiao never fought De La Hoya at his natural weight) + After a decison victory against Stevie Forbes

Shane Mosley : After a draw with Sergio Mora + 39 years old

                      Now Mayweather vs Those Guys
                      :

                      Ricky hatton : Undefeated

De La Hoya : Knocked Ricardo Mayorga out in the 6th round + Mayweather moved up in weight to fight De La Hoya at his natural weight

Shane Mosley : Knocked Antonio Margarito out in the 9th round
and who is the WW floyd fought since 2006? oh yeah SSM and Ortiz
