Hearns is a tough fight because of the size, but I truly think he gives SRL and Duran fits. The one mistake a lot of these fighters that have fought Pac make is they think he's too small and they'll overpower him. SRL had speed, but never fought a guy in his prime with Pac's speed, you have to add that to the equation. Leonard indeed was smart and knew the game in and out, but he would fight you, especially in his prime.
Duran at Lightweight was just phenomenal and I pick Duran in a barn burner, but at WW I see Pac beating him with speed, movement, and power. Duran's best days were at Lightweight though he still had a great career after.
Trinidad is a dangerous fight, but Tito himself wasn't a master defender and was hit pretty frequently even in his prime. Tough fight to call honestly, and I'm a big Tito fan.
Hearns I say is the tougher fight for Pac because of the size and though Pac did whip Margarito's ass, Hearns in comparison though is just a bad match up all around. He had one lethal right hand that if landed would hurt Pac bad.Last edited by RL_GMA; 10-13-2011, 01:00 PM.Comment

I should have clarified, I think today's "prime" Pac at 135 or at least the version that fought Diaz (which is closer to today's Pac than the 130 and under) vs Duran's prime would have been close, 140 would probably be the best and closest matchup for these two. No matter what I see a Pac/Morales I type matchup. Pac would be the faster/busier of the two but Duran's chin and defense would be the final deciding factor.Of course he losses to Tito, Leonard, and Hearns at WW. One can talk about all the skills and power they want. But, they're just too big for Pac. It's not fair to match Pac with any ATG WW's who are natural WW's. Pac is not a natural WW. It is ****** to even discuss such a fantasy match up.
The only one that's close to Pac size. Is Duran, so this match up can be talked about IMO. Now at 135, Duran was just much more of a superior fighter. Pac is a special fighter whether people like to admitted or not. But, Duran was more special as a fighter. Not only was Duran as good if not a better offensive machine than Pac. But, he mixed in defense and counter punching with his offense. Which would be enough to get him by Pac.
At 135, I see it as a war but not a close war. I think Duran wins it pretty handily might even stop Pac. At 147 though I see it as a very close war, where Duran wins a decision.
Out of curiosity, of of these two, who do you think has the better offense? Would Pac's speed/angles be more effective than Duran's variety?Comment

Exactly.I would be disappointed in Hagler if he got in the ring with Pac. Why would he get in the ring such a small fighter like Pac?
Anyways, if people want to match Pac in fantasy fights. They should do it against guys more his size, like a Duran, Whitaker, Sanchez, JCC, Arguello, Pryor etc etc...Not natural ATG WW's or MW's.
BTW, I think he beats Arguello and Pryor, maybe even JCC. But, those type of match ups are much fair for Pac.
Same applies for Mayweather.
They are out of their league against natural, ATG WW's.Comment

Ohh, now there's some matchups I'd love for a more historically knowledgeable fan to break down...Sanchez, Pryor, JCC.I would be disappointed in Hagler if he got in the ring with Pac. Why would he get in the ring such a small fighter like Pac?

But why Floyd's still ducking Pac?Do You Agree with Bread's response?
Hey Bread, Check this out I'm arguing with this dude. I hate getting into these type of debates on who beats who but here it goes !!
1. Pac vs Hearns at 147lbs?
2. Pac vs Leonard at 147lbs?
3. Pac vs Duran at 135lbs?
4. Prime Pac vs. Prime Trinidad at 147lbs?
Greatly appreciated I know it's all opinion
Bread’s Response: The Pac fans may hate me for this but I think he loses ALL of these fights. He probably gets stopped too. He has his best chance against Trinidad, but I would go the much bigger Trinidad in a brutal war.Comment

"Pacquiao never wins fantasy fights."
Translation: I'm too ****** to understand style match ups, fighter's strengths/weaknesses, and don't know what skill is even if it was Eva Mendes trying to get into my pants. Let alone explain how Pacquiao could win a fight.Comment

Chavez-Pac is an absolute war as well... I think Chavez's chin can't be questioned but he def. would be sliced open by precision punching by the Pac-Man... but I think the pressure of Chavez coupled with nasty bady shots that Pacquiao doesn't like at all would help Chavez to hunt him down... Manny is a warrior as well though so I can't see him getting stopped either... I think a SD or a razor thin UD for Pacquiao... I think Pacquiao takes the first few rounds... Chavez will come on stronger but Pacquiao will have his moments too... if somebody get's stopped it would be Pacquiao with a body punch in it or Chavez on cuts...
Pryor-Pac - to me the first few rounds would be probably like Hagler-Hearns... both would go at it from all angles with every punch in the book - I love Pryor but I believe that he is way more reckless when it comes to defense then Pac and he also swings punches at times... so I have to believe that the first 6-8 rounds will be crazy... but that simply the hundreds of hands that Pac will land on him clean will be enough for Pryor... not that he gets stopped but he will feel the hundreds of hands and will slow down a bit... enough for Manny to win a decision...Comment
