With this in mind would Floyd's jab have a simply connect percentage against Pacquiao?

Because an orthodox straight right is easier to land than a jab against a southpaw. End/

But what happens to Floyd's jabs why does that lose accuracy?

No really because it doesn't answer the question or even attempts to.

When fighters of an opposing stance face each other, there jab hands are right up against each other and often cancel each other out.

That is one reason why Floyd's jab was not as accurate against Ortiz.

Also explains why Pacquiao jab average is lower because he facing orthadox figters most of the time.

Mayweather jab was dreadfully poor against Ortiz, not as poor as Victor who didn't land a single jab.

Mayweather landed only 1 jab in round one, 2 jabs in round two and 3 jabs in round 4.

He only landed 14% of his jabs.

What is the reason behind this, afterall Ortiz is not hard to hit, even when he isn't standing infront of you with his hands down looking the other way.
Statistics count everything that is a jab... even if he is just pawing with it or use it to find range...

Besides Ortiz is a southpaw - against a southpaw a jab is more difficult to land... against a southpaw many will tell you the best shot is a left hook or a straight right... and if you opponent can't get out of the way of the right hand who needs a jab... to me it was astonishing how fast he is with it, the timing... because most times he ain't even sets it up and leads with it... but he almost couldn't miss with it
