It's funny how people keep thinking.g Floyd is the same fighter from early 2000...he's showed us everything possible except a lot of combos and KO's...inside, outside, jabs and defense while still pressing the fight! No one Pac opponent had defense except Clotty...Floyd throws his shots and 99.9% of the time he's ready for something coming back...Pac hasn't seen that since Marquez. How is it so easy for people to say a fighter has gotten so much better but that never applies for Floyd? He much be damn good if he reached his peak 10yrs ago and we're still wondering what style can beat him!!

My opinion is the only way to beat mayweather is to knock him out! And can anyone honestly say that they think manny could knock flloyd out? I doubt that, in all of flloyd fights have you seen him seriously hurt? manny is a trained perfectionist wheras flloyd is a natural. Pacman would have to change his tactics to beat flloyd where flloyd doesnt have to change anything to beat manny. and if he did who would you say has the best adaptability.... Flloyd. personally i think pacman is better for the sport but i seriously dont think manny is the type of fighter to beat flloyd.

The way and only way to beat Mayweather is to throw when he throws. Given his defensive skills, that's really the only way to land cleanly and hurt him....

That said, Floyd made an interesting point last night during Face Off. He said it looks different being on the outside looking in. But once you're in there, it's a completely different story. This statement makes total since.

I remember watching the Hatton fight and all the other fights thinking, "why won't they just do this or that". Floyd answered my questions clearly!

floyd obviously study his opponents body language so he knows the way they feint a what range they are effective ect pacquiao is very ez to hit and always do the same combinations and the same footwork

to me a guy with Ward style is the perfect guy to beat floyd

that is one scenario... and VERY possible.

another scenario is pac sticking & moving, peppering floyd causing him to close up & get in a defensive shell (which WILL NOT win rounds).... and god forbid floyd tastes a solid shot from pac.

if its as simple as a straight right, left hook "all night"... then how easy is that to prepare for??? if khan can take away zab's sneaky counter uppercut/hook.... then pac can prepare for floyd's pull counter.

i think it all falls down to whether the fighter can EXECUTE the gameplan... if pac gets frustrated/impatient, he will get beat... if pac fights patiently and wins rounds one by one, he can walk away with a win.

Floyd isn't flat footed so there's no way he'll be turning him like he did other fighters. Floyd rolls and ducks and moves out the way. Those slow as fighters curled up and took punches

I seen Floyd fights and one thing I see has a better chance of beating him is someone bigger than he is. Someone with size to corner him and push him around. That was then, of course Floyd is bigger and more matured into his body and can hold his ground more but I still hold that opinion. He sees those little than him as an advantage cause he knows they dont have the arm length and jab to seriously bother him

castillo troubled floyd because he didnt rush in. he cut the ring and waited for floyd to punch first. he countered the counter puncher but then used volume punches when he was trapped. Pac can definitely do this and more effectively than castillo, he just needs to be disciplined.

yes like pacman did against shane mosley ? you forget pacman dont have any inside game LOL and castillo hold and hit floyd a lot in that fight too

a pressure fighter... combination puncher.... great stamina.
as long as the fighter keeps a constant offense going, you can steal rounds from floyd... floyd WILL NOT engage if youre putting combos together.... the moment you lower your punch output & start throwing one jab at a time, THATS the moment floyd will pick you apart & SCHOOL YOU.

i think we all know floyd outclassed oscar.... but oscar pressing the fight early earned him a split decision loss!!! golden boy almost won the judges over based on aggression... we KNOW oscar wasnt hurting floyd, or even landing for that matter, but the judges favored oscars activity.... if oscar wouldve made small adjustments and continued to press the fight on floyd, oscar DEFINITELY couldve STOLEN that fight.

pac has an iron clad chin
he's a lion like haggler at his best
but unlike haggler- pacman knows how to box aswell
