That's a reasonable point to make. But then that begs the question what good is it to beat a HOF if they're way past their best? Wlad could beat on Toney and Holyfield, most people would agree they're sure fire HOFers, but so the hell what? I know I would be disgusted if he did so, though it would ensure two future HOF names on his resume. How would you feel about it, if you don't mind my asking?

Nah, not really. Holmes carried on fighting at a world championship level until well into the nineties. He wasn't at his best but to compare him to Holyfield and Toney at this stage is wrong. Fair enough on Spinks though.

As for whether or not Wlad should do it, I'd say definitely not. He may miss out on two good names on his resume, but his integrity would suffer greatly as a result.

Is Joseph ENVIOUS of Wladimir who is tall, handsome, rich and a world champion as a fighter, while Joseph is short, ugly, poor, and a failure as a fighter?

Is that why Joseph bashes and discredits Wladimir every day in this forum?

Actually, from recent video I've seen, Toney is in far worse shape than Holyfield: glassy-eyed, drooling, slurring. Any board that licenses him to fight is committing a crime, in my book.

Holyfield didn't look all that bad in his last fight, but I can't see what good Wlad or Vitali beating him would do, really.

I am amused at the way some Klitschko victims have gone from "savior/future of the HW division" to "bum" in record time after being beaten by a K-Bro (Brock, Sam Peter, for two).

That's to be expected. I try not to let it bother me too much. I always try to guage a win or the quality of an opponent on what my own eyes tell me, not what others tell me I should think of them. Haye was hyped to the hills, but I didn't let that influence my opinion of him as a fighter, neither have I let the fact that he subsequently lost influence it much either.

I notice the same can't be said of most of Haye's (ex) fans.
