The Klitschkos DOMINATE everyone and stop potential star careers in their tracks: excellent fighters like Calvin Brock and Sultan Ibragimov were derailed by Klitschko domination. Fighters who would have been champs (and Sultan actually was a champ) in a Klitschko-less era, likely trading belts around like baseball cards as often seen in past eras. The K-Bros DOMINATE in a way that hasn't been seen before, so this HOF argument doesn't hold up. A bunch of talented but not dominant guys trading belts around (past) versus two guys who destroy everyone (present): the K-Bros are creating a new paradigm for HW supremacy that will likely never be seen again.
Why do people moan about Wlad never having beaten a HOF fighter...

It's not his fault that HOF heavyweights don't fill this era. He is doing what he is supposed to do and that is dominate what the division's got and that's what he is doing. That's why Wlad will be in the HOF.Comment

The HOF argument is the last refuge of the K-Bro hater who was so let down because he thought Haye was gonna be his salvation. Now that that dream is over, the only thing left is to find some argument to discredit their success. However, a look at the resumes of some past greats like Holmes and Marciano will show that that the overall level of the K-Bros opposition is probably higher than those fighters. The K-Bros are not fighting cabbies and bartenders like Marciano did....when they know full well that a fighter is only eligible for induction five years after retirement?
Tyson only made it into the HOF this year, for goodness sake. Holyfield isn't in it yet due to the fact that he's still active. Since Wlad and his opponents are also active it's impossible for him to beat a HOF fighter unless they come out of retirement, doddering and wheezing, looking for that one last payday. Yeah, some achievement that will be.
As for future hall of famers, I can't predict the future and neither, last I checked, could anyone else on this planet. However, based on some of their previous inductees, I suspect Chris Byrd will get in due to his achievements and wins over Holyfield, Vitali and Tua. Not first ballot, but I think it'll happen. Adamek and a few others might be up for consideration depending on what they do from now until their retirement day, and if he sticks around after the Vitali fight he's a viable opponent. But like I said, I can't predict the future and neither can you.
Maybe in twenty years time we'll look back and see that Wlad didn't, in fact, beat any hall of famers, in which case the above criticism would be perfctly legit. Until then however it's a totally unfair and ridiculous thing to ask of him.Comment

The people bashing Wladimir Klitschko and his achievements are losers.
The worst Wlad-hater since the win over Haye is Joseph Benedetti who posts here as JAB5239.
Joseph Benedetti is listed as 5'10" and 245 pounds, and has a record of 0-1 in MMA, the same as Charlie Zellenoff in boxing.
However, Joseph's loss was in the amateurs, Charlie's was in the pros.
Is Joseph ENVIOUS of Wladimir who is tall, handsome, rich and a world champion as a fighter, while Joseph is short, ugly, poor, and a failure as a fighter?
Is that why Joseph bashes and discredits Wladimir every day in this forum?

I don't think Norton deserves to be in the Hall of Fame, but I do believe he's far greater than Chris Byrd.I understand what they mean, but since we have no idea what any of Wlad's opponents are going to do in the future then it's a ridiculous thing to criticise him for.
Norton's routinely brought up as a HOF opponent of Ali's yet I remember there being some distinct grumbles about his induction. Byrd's on a similar level.
Norton beat Ali, beat Jerry Quarry and had one of the greatest heavyweight fights of all time against Larry Holmes.
Byrd beat Vitali through injury and an Evander Holyfield that should have retired after the Ruiz trilogy.
Norton was better than Byrd. And Norton wasn't the best name on Ali's resume.Comment

I can't actually think of a single champion who beat a HOF fighter who had already been inducted into the HOF at the time they fought them. Maybe someone could enlighten me? Not even Foreman was inducted until 2003 despite having retired in the seventies. Tyson wasn't HOF when Lewis beat him. Holyfield still isn't. Holmes wasn't HOF when Tyson knocked him out. It's a ****** criterion to measure people against. What HOFers did LL beat? Old Holyfield and washed up Tyson. How about Tyson? Ancient Larry Holmes. Im not knocking anyone its just not every generation you have Ali, Frazier, Foreman and Norton. You can only credit fighters for facing the best possible opposition, I refuse to degrade a fighter based on lack of competition.Comment
