within the K-1 organization have just confirmed that Royce Gracie will face kickboxer Peter Aerts in an MMA fight on their December 31st card.

Royce will be paid USD$2.5 million for the fight. Expect an announcement from K-1 soon.

    Here's your ****ing link

Still this is not announced yet. When it's announced, then provide a real link, not from a MMA board. This is coming from a MMA fan. Just provide a real link when it's announced.

Talking to you is like talking to a ****ing wall.
you're really a special case. I'm not gonna bother. Hell, believe whatever the **** you want. I don't know why you're even blocking on this 2.5 million story since some fighters are paid more than 4 million a year...

You're strange...Believe what you want..You people keep mentioning the UFC also..Which proves you have no idea what this sport is at all...The UFC is a joke, yet you guys keep talking about Chuck Liddell and they "win **** money"...Whatever...

You people are just ignorant. I even told you guys that the UFC is a disgrace to the sport but you're all focused on this ****ing UFC.

You know what Parodius , You're right , mma is for kids

      And fighters win 10 000 a year.
and the UFC is the best! yay!!!
      goodbye.

My son, I haven't mentioned anything about UFC today. All I wanted a real link, but forget about it. I don't respect UFC or MMA. Sorry son that is just my opinion. Have a good day.

I think MMA will reach a level of popularity below boxing, then get overexposed and dive.

The one thing that they do right is they match top guys against top guys and no ducking. The only way to get a top ranking is to fight the top guys. PBF wouldn't be able to make a living over there LOL.

As long as the poor decisions and politics rule boxing, any sport has a chance to become more popular. MMA will probably not "fad out" but I am waiting for another sactioning body to appear, and corrupt/controvesial desicions. Until then tho, yea, MMA is bigger than boxing. And will continue to get bigger if it remains, entertaining. However, Dana White is straight up making mad cash off it. And I know the fighters aren't getting near what they could be.

I think it is getting up to speed close to boxing. I mean I find myself watching alot more of mma now then I ever use to. though I think dana white is going to kill the sport with his influx of new c level fighters and the fact he pays the UFC fighter beans. I think thats one of the things that seperates the two right now the money value they pay their fighters. Boxers or big level names are in the mills while popular mma fighters are in the 100,000.
i only know the real numbers for the UFC and I'm not sure how much pride pays.

It's certainly gaining populatiry, primarily due to the Ultimate Fighter and Spike tv. Even if you don't like the UFC though, it is the most popular and the most mainstream. So that's essentially what you have to judge MMA buy. K1 and Pride have a fanbase, but not to the same extent of UFC. So in that regard, I believe that MMA won't ever overtake boxing. Partially due to the fact that there is only 1 boxing, but there are already too many MMA type shows. MMA seems to be like wrestling to me right now.

TNA is to WWE what MMA is to UFC.

TNA is competing against a giant, and won't win. K1 and Pride have to compete with the UFC, and probably won't win. They are already too established.
