Nothing close to boxing. Show me one MMA fighter that has made 500 thousand dollars for one fight, because you can't find one. I don't consider 60 thousand dollars alot of money.

obviously top boxers earn more direct money from fights , but i tell ya , they make a lot of money in non-fighting businesses .

anyway i agree with you in the case of the UFC fighters .

In Japan they pay different athletes more. Wrestlers (like WWE) are ultra rich there. So are Sumo Wrestlers. Bob Sapp made a lot of money there. Why do you think Ali went to Japan to wrestle (WWE style) Antonio Inoki?

I always associate MMA with the drunk frat boys at the Uni I went to...anytime you brought up boxing they would talk about how much more "real" MMA is...I watch the reality show and occaisionally a match but I do think that it blows as a sport and is more of curiosity...I wish they would televise more kickboxing or Muy Thai matches...beats the pants off MMA, K1, etc

Royce Gracie is getting paid 2.5 million for a single fight at Heros. (japanese mma org). To fight vs a non experienced mma fighter.
                We're talking dollars here.

Wanderlei silva , wins a bit more than 3 to 4 million a year. (in dollars)
You're obviously full of **** and know nothing about this sport.

Yoshida makes between 1 to 2 million a year. or more actually.

The UFC is one thing, japanese orgs are another.
Some of their fighters do win millions.

That's mighty nice first post by you. What the **** are you doing here on a boxing site. Go to your MMA site & STFU. Why don't you show me some links about Gracie??

                    THIS BLOWS?

Are these guys drunk frat boys to you?
How dare you insult a sport you know nothing about?
Some of the disciplines these guys practice are older than boxing. Greco-roman wrestling , Judo for example..

You guys only watch, the UFC white trash version of mma.
you have no ****ing clue what this sport is like in reality.
You should be ashamed of yourself.

I don't like Golf or Basketball but I'll never trash talk ,Criticize a sport I don't even follow.

MMA is nothing but glorified wrestling unless punches are being thrown. And if that's what makes it exciting why not just watch boxing?
