Bout time these guys got the atg status...
I really hope this is a joke. I am praying my sarcasm meter isn't working and that no one is really this ******.

all you have to do is compare the fitness level of the boxers of the 90's to now.....and visually you can see that even the 90's boxers were in far batter shape...minus david haye and the kilt brothers, most of the boxers are fat and unfit.....most of these fat ****s wud not have lasted against even the 90's bum boxers, let alone the elite

        Ok.

So the 90's had 4 elite fighters, Lewis, Holyfield, Bowe and Tyson
and the 2000's had only 2, Wlad and Vitali.

And the fringe contenders were pretty even.

So doesn't that mean the 90's had a deeper division purely cos there are more elite fighters?

I gave you the argument yesterday and you conveniently ducked all my questions and points. I guess when you're totally desperate for a hero though that's how you like to play it.

What would the division be like without the Klitschkos? I do see some exciting fights.

Think about this.. is it that much different than it was 10-15 years ago?

Arreola, Peter, Brewster, Chambers, Chagaev, Povetkin, same JC Gomez, now Haye, up and coming Boytsov & Helenius.

Are these guys any worse than Rahman, Francois Botha, Michael Grant, Golota, Shannon Briggs, Chris Byrd, Tommy Morrison, Ray Mercer, etc? Probably NOT!

The thing is that the Klitschkos are just too superior that make any of the opposition look like crap... They (mostly Wlad) have really cleaned up anyone on their way... much like Lewis did during his time... the only difference is that Wlad lacks that excitement that most American spectators complain about...

Is it his fault that they are so superior that there is no real danger and his fights are usually a one-sided beating?

Wlad would have cleaned up the division 10 years ago, much like he did today... only great matchup would be him against Lewis!

P.S. Those who say Tyson and Holyfield both knock him out, get real, Tyson is 5'10! and certainly was not the same Tyson he was in the 80's. Holyfield - aside from a washed up Tyson, did he even KO anyone in the 90's?
You have a good point. The HW's of the 90's besides Tyson, Holyfield, and Lewis are no better than the HW's today but I think that Mercer would be the number one guy today (besides the Klitschko's) if he were here now. I don't Think Holyfield would have beat a Klitschko at any age. I don't think a 1990's version of Tyson would beat them either. Only Lewis of the 90's would have a chance and I'm pretty sure he would beat both brothers.

Nostalgiatards, The American HW scene was maybe better in the 90's, but there was next to no European scene like today. We saw what Golota did to one of those elite 90's US HW's, battered him senseless twice and retired him.

Thats what most of these fools fail to grasp when comparing the era's. It is measured by the depth, quality and experience of the era, and this one simply doesn't stack up.

comparing the 90s to today there's no comparison, the 90s were better. But if you just look at the world champs from about five years ago when Wlad had one belt- Maskaev, Chagaev, Valuev, Ibragimov, Briggs-aren't you glad there's at least some clarity in the division with a strong HW champ?
