Just need to add I don't think Wlad, or Vitali, are the greatest heavyweights ever, but I can see why people think they are.

What I can't see is why people might think the current batch of heavyweights are good. They're not. They are certainly not better than the 90's batch.

If you are actually watching Klitschko fights and thinking that what you are seeing compares to even the level of skill shown in fights in the late 80s or 90s, then you are a nuthugger.
I didn't know that Klitschko fought at least 90% of same guys as Ruiz...
hmmm there is something I learn every day.

what he was saying is that 90% of the guys the klitschkos beat would probabley lose to ruiz

not "klitschkos fought 90% of the guys ruiz fought"

All the Klitschko nuthuggers seem to think that admitting how crap the division is and has been over their reign means we think the Klitschkos suck or are bums as well. That's not what we are saying at all. The Klitschkos are very good, that's why they beat these bums so easily. Their opponents are still bums though, and this is still the one of if not the worst era of heavyweights ever. It's far worse than the 80s or 90s.

Confusing the Klitschkos' dominance as some type of proof of them being top 10 heavyweights all time is ridiculous.

That's clearly not what he meant now is it. He's saying 90% of the fighters of the past decade would have lost to a peak Ruiz.

I don't agree with that. But 90%, at least, would have lost to a peak Rid**** Bowe.

It's always funny reading these things, all these nostalgiatards always repeat the same **** like a mantra and call the people that don't agree with them, yet they can't come up with a single, solid argument about how the 90s were better than today's fighters

All you have to do is watch. No one today can even slip a jab or work the body. They have no variety in their skillset. The 90s were far from a great golden era of heavyweights, but even the lesser contenders that the best heavyweights beat easily had fights where they displayed skills and stamina many of the best fighters today do not.

You say "nostalgiatards" don't come up with good arguments, when Klitschkos nuthuggers just say "he was small" and "athletes are better now" without ever making arguments yourself defending just how unskilled heavyweights today are. We're not talking about the Klitschkos or saying they have no skill or talent, but their opponents are often horrendous.

That's like saying that 90% of wins of ANY HW BOXER IN HISTORY don't beat Wlad. And that's a legitimate statement.

Any champion has a handful or two of career defining fights... the rest of the wins are just to "get there". (there may be some exceptions for lighter weight classes, e.g. Pac, who's been dominating one weight class after the next... but in HW, there is nowhere to go )

There is not a single guy on wlad's or vitali's resume that would beat Bruno or moorer, Lewis aside. The 90's was deeper and better. Vitali and wlad clearly belong in the same breath as holy, bowe and Lewis, but please do not try and build up their resumes. Wlads is solid, vital's is good because of Lewis fight.
