Funny how his bigger bro is even MORE dominating than he is... This is now the 10th fighter Wlad has failed to KO.... .that's double his brother's total who's failed to KO 5 fighters.... but the difference here is he was trying to KO those 5 fighters... 3 who went the distance... & 2 who beat him on injuries... all 5 TIMES he was visibly upset... the 3 times he was taken the distance he won all 36 rds but THAT WASN'T good enough for him... the 2 times he lost he won 12 of the 15 rds fought.... Vitali Klitschko is looking for KO #40 & will undoubtedly get it as he will be facing an opponent that stands in the pocket & throws punches in Adamek..... you want the MOST dominating fighter of alltime with the highest BOXER EFFICIENCY RATING IN HISTORY you just have to look uo a couple of more inches as he's right behind Wladimir covering his back.
WLAD is the greatest heavyweight ever, Fact

Vitali Klitschko still remains the only boxer to be ahead on all the scorecards for all 44 fights he's been in when the fight was stopped whether it's the first rd or the 12th & for those who say Hide & Solis WERE ahead.... NOT after the 10-8 rds in which they were KTFO they weren't as the knockouts count in the scoring if they had gone to the scorecards as obviously it wasn't necessary.. all that while NEVER tasting canvas.... this is a BOXING record that will never be broken.... Wlad actually comes the closest but Sanders was leading the scorecards after the 2 rd destruction.. but since he's tasted more than a handful of canvas that leaves him out of the equation. One might say Floyd Mayweather but he;s had a few decisions up in the air & I think tasted canvas against Judah.Comment

2 simple questions.
1. Name me a consensus top 10 ATG Heavyweight who has had 3 (or more) KO losses to B, C & D level heavyweights 8 years into their professional career.
2. Name me a consensus top 10 ATG heavyweight who 15 years deep into their professional career, has yet to have a victory over an A level opponent or a potential future hall of famer.
Thanks in advance.Comment

Wladimir has been the most dominant champion in boxing for 7 years now. 7 Year run is a very long run. Wladimir is also such a celebrity in Europe and every fight he has draws 50,000+ fans.
Wladimir has huge wins over top10 guys, and just outclassed David Haye who is a former undisputed world champion.
Wladimir's resume and dominance as a 7 year run championship run is remarkable.
Wladimir is probably a top3 Alltime Heavyweight. Wlad is better than Joe Frazier, Jack Johnson, Jack Dempsey, Sonny Liston, Floyd Patterson, Max Schmeling.
Wladimir is a top3 alltime heavyweightComment

I just want to point out. Before the fight with Haye... I remember Tyson saying... unless David Haye was some kind of Animal or Beast that he hadn't seen before... Then Wlad would be just too good, too skilled for him... I didn't word for word quote cause I forgot where I saw that.
Anyways... As for Wlad's losses... Many great fighters have had losses in their career. Even Lennox said, he was like fine wine... That he got better with time... That is until he fought Vitali and was losing on the scorecards and he got the win on cuts. We all know he retired without looking back because he knew the Klitschko brothers had arrived to take their crowns... That fight with Vitali showed me that Lennox was truly a formidable opponent. I wasn't sure he was great b/c he beat a washed up Tyson etc... But he sure was ****in with Vitali and it was a great fight by him.
I'm American but I honestly think the brothers are some of the best Heavyweights in history... Not that they are more skilled than the other ATG's. But rather just the combination of their size, skills, power and intelligence. It's a new era for Heavyweights, where if you aren't Huge AND Skilled, you don't have much of a chance.
So, if you're nostalgic for the old Heavyweight division... Perhaps, it's time to open your mind up to the new era... The brothers will eventually lose or retire... 7 years is already a long time to stay at the top of the Heavyweight division. Soon enough there will be new blood that takes over. I just hope the titles don't keep switching hands and that we get some more dominant fighters.Comment

Cheezus.... I am a long-time K2 fan, but this post is just way overboard...
I would say let Wlad fight for another 5 years, then wait for another 20 years, then carefully compare his accomplishments vs those of other best fighters, then make your case carefully and thoughtfully.Last edited by Nautilus; 07-04-2011, 05:27 PM.Comment

Considering there is an almost complete lack of skills in the heavyweight division I'd say most of today's so called contenders would be nothing of note in any other era.Comment

Does anyone really remember the contenders from the 80's and 90's who came up short in title fights? Tell me some of the names that never held one of the four belts from then who would beat an Arreola or Adamek?Comment

The champion was either Holmes, Spinks or Tyson, so holding an ABC trinket is meaningless. As for your question.....Dokes, Thomas, Witherspoon, Bruno, Tucker, Weaver, Tate, Berbick, Cooney, Douglas, Williams, Page and Tubbs were all more skilled, and at their best would be favored over your two best contenders from today.Comment
