I don't think Wlad is greatest. He has some weak sides. He's one dimensional, can fight only outside, his chin is questionable, also stamina - he lost two fights because he ran out of gas. I'll rather go with Ali, Holyfield, Holmes, Tyson, Lewis or Vitaly. They were more versatile and should be ranked higher than Wlad.
WLAD is the greatest heavyweight ever, Fact

who gives a **** about hall of fame, its yet another bul**** excuse to inindate american thugs such that you pricks worship...
Fact is Haye was the saviour of boxing, all the pundits including bhop said haye would win, and all you racists slavic hating ****s watched an absulute schooling and boxing clinic on that pathetic man haye...
Now **** off...

In an open air stadium fight, Tyson has Wlad air lifted to hospital after 3 rounds.Comment

not one of you lot have come up with decent reasons as to why wlad/vitali are not the greatest ever...
Tyson lmao...his career is a jokeComment
-
Can someone help me here, I'm trying to think who has held all them titles at Heavyweight that Wlad does at the moment? If someone else has who and what was there overall record!Comment
-
Then the same thing applies to them not being the greatest ever. Haye is not a great HW. Maybe cause both brothers were fighting at the same time holding titles kind of cancelled each other out a bit.
Ali has the best record against solid competition even with a layoff and 15 rounds of fightingComment
-
Why? Because some idiot that can't even show his name thinks so?Haye got ****ing schooled lads. He got destroyed, he looked the slow fighter, and he got jabbed to death.
The sts showed Wlad threw equal punches to Haye, yet landed over 50 percent moor.
That is a schooling, i scored it 8 rounds to wlad, being kind on Haye, byut even the round with the point deduction, i scored that even.
Wlad is literally unbeatable of any era...
Keep telling yourself that, buddy.

The title of this thread is Wlad is the greatest heavyweight ever, FACT. The decent reason why this is not true is a look at Muhammad Ali's heavyweight resume:
he beat: Archie Moore (Hall of Fame), Henry Cooper (knighted for services to boxing),Sonny Liston (HoF), Floyd Patterson (HoF), Oscar Bonavena, Bob Foster (HoF), Joe Frazier (HoF), Ken Norton (HoF), George Foreman (HoF) and Earnie Shavers.
Wlad beat: David Haye, Chris Byrd, Ruslan Chaegev, Sultan Ibragimov, Hasim Rahman, Sam Peter, Ray Mercer, Francois Botha, Eddie Chambers and Tony Thompson.
Ali clearly fought a higher level of competition. Wlad has done nothing to demonstrate he is better than Ali.
And the arguement that wlad would be too big and too strong for Ali is crap cos Wlad lost to Lamon Brewster, who was a similar size to Ali. If Wlad wasn't too big and strong for Brewster, we would he be too big and strong for Ali?Comment

A prime Vitali lost to Lewis and he is the better brother and quit against Byrd. There are so many flaws with Wlad where to begin. Maybe by gettin laid out by Brewster and Saunders for one losing to Purrity cos he lacked stamina.
Wlad has a suspect chin and is afraid to fight on the inside.
Whenever he gets hit or thinks he is gonna get hit he holds on for dear life or drags his opponent's head down.
He lets bums last into the second half of fights even though if he was willing to throw a right hand he could damn near beat most men he has faced in at least 4-5 rounds.
He doesn't have good stamina and struggles to last the distance if he is forced to fight at anything above his own pace.
So apart from the chin, heart and stamina and the fact that his brother would destroy him in roughly 6 or 7 rounds if you ignore all these things then yes I guess nobody has come up with a valid reason as to why Wlad isn't the best heavyweight ever.Comment

The guy on this page plasticman has given a few very good reasons. Wladimir imo just beat his first properly world class fighter even if he was a small heavyweight I give him credit, chagaev and chambers are fringe world class for me. He has not yet fought anyone considered within the same vicinity of beating a great or elite heavyweight. Based on this your opinion and thread is pure speculation. I am becoming more a Wlad believer with every fight, but I think there are plenty of fighters who would have beaten him. For me he is not in the argument yet but hopefully he can prove tht he belongs with the best in time.
Lets put it this way, if that was some past heavyweights on Saturday night in with Haye...I can think of quite a few that would have beat him better than that and most likely stopped him, not only are GREATS judged on their resume, but also based on special performances, wlad for my money does not excel in either area thus far in his career. On his biggest night Wlad gave one of his best performances but it certainly was not special. Vitali proved his credentials in the Lewis fight, in a dog fight. Wladimir had a defining fight last weekend but has not yet been challenged and believe me that is not just down to his ability, it also has a lot to do with the heavyweight division.Comment
