This whole statement makes the defamation lawsuit useless. What has Manny lost since Dec. 2009 when he filed the suit? Nothing. People actually rallied behind him after the accusations.

Tim Smith has yet to recant his story, and has been quiet since. This tells me he's sticking by it, and is most likely with representation. That's all I have left to say on the email issue.

i have to say that i'm quite surprised that both Tim Smith and Teddy Atlas haven't been called out more often for those emails.

they could easily show the emails (if they actually had it) without revealing their sources.

so in short, unless the emails surface, they in effect, don't exist.

In this situation, the fans and court of public opinion doesn't matter. Pacquiao filed a law suit, and it's a legal matter now. Releasing the email to the public for debate, help Pacquiao establish intent to slander, because the act alone shows pre-meditation...get it?

err... it isn't slander if the emails come from Pac camp themselves. how can it be slander when you are basically quoting the said person? you just have to prove that they guy said what you said he said.

slander is when you accuse someone without proof. the emails are proof.

it is to mr. smith and Atlas' benefit if they could produce the emails as proof of their statements. otherwise, all that stuff they said was slander.

and they don't need to wait to be sued to produce those emails. as a journalist, its mr. smiths responsibility to produce proof of his allegations.

Dude, I really don't care. Manny's lawsuit against Floyd is another reason why the fight isn't happening. Believe what you want to believe, but understand our opinions doesn't matter in the court of law. The case is upon Manny to prove he was slandered, defamed, whatever you choose to call it. Maybe you should watch a couple of episodes of Peoples Court, to get a general idea of how the system works.

That's why you don't release it, because if it's been authenticated it should be submitted as evidence when the time comes. The bet Manny faces is, whether or not it exist and how far with this case is he willing to go to find out.

well, if they do have those e-mails,all pbf has to do are to include these on his defense and/or deposition as exhibits a, b & c etc.....

the people who have these e-mails could be compelled to produce these e-mails lest they be hit with withholding evidences and obstruction of justice...

pbf not submitting the deposition is a very big indicator they don't have any proof...

gbp making amends to pac also is indicative of the above.....

manny's lawsuit would be dropped quite easily if the mayweathers would simply stop blatantly accusing him and issue a public apology, just like what Dela hoya and golden boy did.

dela hoya apologized, and the case against him was dropped. it is that easy.

last time i checked, legitimate journalists are supposed to have proof and/or evidence to back up their claims, ESPECIALLY when it involves a person's reputation.
