Why does he have to drop the lawsuit? That lawsuit is simply to force Floyd to put up or shut up. They can still fight with or without the lawsuit. He has publicly accepted Floyd's demand of no cut-off. No amount of denial from Floyd and his defenders can change that.

You just made the assumption that Smith's source could have been Pac's team and not Floyd's. So now Smith is trying to protect the identity of his source who are the very same people that he is trying bring down. Get it?
