No they did not. I didn't see Matthysse try to give Alexander head every time Alexander got close.

If you awarded Lucas the victory there is no excuse why Andre shouldn't of won either.
The guy you are replying to didn't even mention Dirrell you crybaby ****.

How the hell does your thought-process work? "Oh, an American fighter just won a very controversial decision, this is a good time to start a thread crying about how an American boxer lost a controversial decision in 2009"

      Seriously, get over it.

I think Dirrell and Matthyse both won their fights but the way those fights played out are very different.

I'm English and I think that Dirrell beat Froch, Sturm beat Macklin and Matthysse beat Alexnader.

It has nothing to with lexander being American and everything to do witht he fact that he clearly lost the fight.

Most argue that Lucas won his fight last night because he landed more and landed the harder punches, right? Yeah, that's the argument BUT the same people arguing that statement were the same people DEFENDING Carl Froch when he was awarded the victory against Andre Dirrell. Post after post was made saying you couldn't win that fight, in Frochs home, that you have to clearly beat him. Well, the problem is Dirrell did exactly what Lucas did last night. Not only did he out land Froch but majority of the heavy punches were also landed by Dirrell. The double standard still exists and part of me wishes Americans still cared about boxing. Most of you Europeans wouldn't even watch boxing if that was the case because your fighters would be looked at as stepping stones, and you wouldn't be able to **** ride.
                Tha's the truth right there.

Froch-Dirrell: It was just a close, not a robbery.

                Devon-Mataysay: Highway robbery.

I saw Mataysay-Alexander as a closer fight than Froch-Dirrell. Froch-dirrell was not close for me, 8-4 for Dirrell at worst.

Yeah, and people still ***** about Mayweather v Castillo. There is nothing wrong with bringing up past fights to show how ass backwards majority of these posters work. If Lucas won his fight on the road there isn't anything that person could say as to why Froch won his fight. What, because Dirrell moved backwards? Who cares when you land more punches and do more damage.

Honestly, as an American I am more proud of the performance Alexander gave against Matthysse(even though I thought he lost) than I am in the performance Dirrell gave in the Froch fight.
