In boxing a punch can change everything i know that, but there's very little chance of Chavez beating Sergio, the kid just doesn't have the experience and work rate in the ring to do that

Chavez will get more recognition by the casual fan if he beats Cotto, and at 160 lbs that's a 50/50 fight

Maybe Sergio should think about changing promoters, going to Top Rank or GBP, because Lou will not get him the big money fights.

        Hahaha ****ing bltch

And I will be really glad if he fights Pirog, because that will make Dibella look like a fool, remember the "**** Pirog" by Dibella? hahahaha

And yeah he better run from my Borat God hahaha... because if he fights him The Beast Golovkin will eat his soul

but same goes for serg. in fact , more so since he's #1.

chavez ain't exactly the toughest opponent for him available.
well martinez really can't sell a fight on his own, that's obvious. and with chavez and him both being wbc mw champs, and chavez's fanbase, it's the most reasonable fight to make. yes, he can go and look around for tougher opposition (other beltholders), but which other fight would make the most money compared to chavez/martinez? like i said before, as long as he's trying to unify the MW divison, doesn't matter to me who he fights. chavez with his belt and fanbase, is basically on every MW's radar.

if martinez wants a payday, he'll have to fight sturm in germany or fight someone from the super six.

nobody 154 lbs and under will fight him.
Are you guys serious right now? Seriously? You as fans are saying that Chavez Jr who's daddy is a living legend and is 25 years old with 40 professional fights and current middleweight CHAMPION OF THE WORLD deserves a pass because he is not good? Wait a minute here.. Are you guys on a payroll? WTF is your mindset? If you hold a belt in a class, you fight the best, period. I don't care who you fought, who your daddy is, what your promoter says, YOU FIGHT THE BEST TO BE THE BEST. If Martinez is gonna make you his *****, that's your problem and the belt belongs to him if that's the case. If you deserve the belt, you will retain it.

It's almost like all this spewing about marketability that Arum does has you guys with that mindset and it DOESN'T MAKE SENSE. Think about what you're saying.

            Chavez is the middleweight champion.

But Sergio is so much better than him that Chavez has no chance to win...

Therefore the fight should not be made....

WHAT??? So keep feeding Chavez Jr bum after bum so he can get paid and hold a title and have the record book show so many defenses?

What kind of mindset is that as a fan? I just don't get it.

Let Sergio wipe the floor with Chavez Jr. and claim his belt, then have Sergio fight the best middleweights that the world has to offer until a fighter is good enough to take the belt.

            THAT'S HOW BOXING SHOULD BE.

I swear, Arum is infecting the minds of so many casual fans that it's unbelievable to me. I can not believe that people are coming up with reasons why a champion shouldn't be fighting another champion in the same class, and one of the reasons is "The other guy is just too good."

Are you guys for real right now?

I'm sick and tired of people saying martinez is avoiding pirog. Who the **** did pirog beat besides overrated jacobs. Please his last fight was in russia against a bum. And he couldn't knock that kid out and looked terrible. Martinez would absolutely embaress pirog period.

And why all the talk about Pacquiao fighting dead opponents in Mosley and how he's the Best Boxer P4P in the World....

And the next thing he does is to stalk Chavez Jr into a fight hahaha

                  Priceless

Couple of things. Chavez is young, in his prime, and is a champion.

Or is he not prime yet at 40 fights, 25 years old and with a world championship belt?

GTFOH. You all act like Chavez Jr is your daddy or something the way you're quick to defend him not fighting the best. I thought champions were the best and that's why they're champions?

dibella sucks at promoting martinez, but i guess that's martinez's fault. he signed a contract for however long they agreed upon and now he has to cope with whatever dibella has set up for him. martinez isn't a moneymaker who can call his own shots, he needs to work with what they give him...but yeah i'm sure golvokin and pirog will make for great fights, time will tell...
