Why don't some of you get your heads out of your a$$. Jr will never accept a fight with Martinez because of the high danger risk. He said in his post fight comments that if Arum pays him the right $ he wil fight Martinez. The cop out is that Martinez is not a ticket seller. Sulaiman is another fraud for somewhat handing titles to jota c and camelita. Does he feel he owes dlh and Chavez sr something? I'm Mexican and these guys are not great fighters in my book. They keep fighting c+ fighters at best.

So Sergio fights Dzinziruk who was probably the best 154 fighter out there, and no one gives him credit for it, and then people suggest he should fight other eastern Euro's/Russians who no one has heard of (heck I don't even know who this God guy is and I follow boxing very closely) and that is going to get him more respect and money? Then people say he should fight 168's and even 175's when he is a small MW to begin with. What 168's are currently available that are worth fighting and not tied up with Showtime or the SM tournament? Abraham? Green? Bika? I'd say Direll but you would have to dig him out of hiding for that to happen. Bute and Kessler have multi fight deals with Showtime while Martinez has a deal with HBO, so how could it be worked out for them to fight in October? So legitimately who is out there who is willing to fight him, and has some sort of American name recognition? I'd say his best option is to hope PW looks impressive against Lara and give him the trilogy.

Sergio may be wishing for more than he can handle, I know I'm in the minority here, but he has been beaten before. He may have a great style, but it hasn't always worked. Chavez is a big middle weight and maybe the left that took a skinny Paul Williams out doesn't hurt Jr. At that point Martinez might have a problem. Jr. may not be great, but he is undefeated and nobody, so far, has said he was easy. I say Jr. will take this fight because this fight can make him THE MAN in old Mexico, and that's saying a lot, if he can win it.
