Why do you all act like Sergio is picking on Jr? Or acting like a whore asking for a fight against Jr? Have you all forgotten that Martinez IS the actual WBC Middleweight Champion. Scumbag Sulaiman stripped him and made him the "Emeritus" Champ or some other Bull**** fake name that allowed tht WBC to gift Zbik the belt knowing full well that Jr was next in line to fight the German. Sulaiman gifting a WBC belt to yet another fellow Mexican...its an old hat really. according to the WBC rules Jr has to fight Martinez next but of course he is asking for a voluntary defense first.

Martinez is making noise to either:

A- Get a shot at his title back and make sick money doing so
or
B- Demanding the WBC honor their own rules so that Top Rank would be forced to pay him step aside money.

Nothing wrong with that....#1 contenders get paid step aside money all the time but it almost always requires alot of bell ringing, name calling, or a threat of a lawsuit. Martinez is simply doing what he needs to do.

To say that Chavez Jr was handed his championship is straight up hate. Lots of people on these forums talk %# ish and have never even laced them up. Give the kid props he earned his win against Zibik and therefore won a belt. However, I do have to say Chavez Jr is not ready for Martinez. Martinez is pound for pound one of the best in boxing now. Chavez Jr still has a lot of work to do before he faces a lion like that. He needs more work with his technique and more experience versus good competition. I am a fan of mexican boxing, however would be the first to say Martinez would practically manhandle Chavez Jr at the current time.
