Those who repeat scandallous and libellous reports are also guilty. As I posted in a few days ago when Oscar's surrender hot the boards, this leaves the Mayweathers put all alone, in a very uncomfortable place. Yes, I agree that the case probably won'ty go to trial, as the vasy majority of litigation suits do not, but it certainly will be settled to Pacquiao's advantage. This has done him ENORMOUS damage, and the suit covers not only the nominal amount of $5 million, (if that report is true-I didn't see it myself) but compensatory and undisclosed damages, which are ALWAYS the major part of any award. With possibly a serious blow to Pacquiao's next election campaign, and lest we forget..... the damage it has done to his boxing career, including costing him a potential $50-60 million for the agreed-on Mayweather fight. I can go on if you like.........there's more.......

There is only one talking as of late. As far as I can see, it is worrying to mayweathers. I just don't see them worried about going to jail, its home to them. Nothing to get excited about.

i remember in the beginning manny just ask for a apology coz he knows he cant win that thing
It was an apology which included an undisclosed amount, as it ALWAYS is. It certainly also included Pacquiao's legal expenses to date, and probably millions more. I dealt with this aspect extensively an a post the other day.

ps. also 'they have a good lawyer working on the case' - just proves how badly pac is desperate in finding SOMETHING - ANYTHING to win this case.
Well, you're the only one I know who will hire a poor/bad lawyer to handle your case especially if you have money to spend.

I think you will find that since the very first mention of PEDS that Manny has had the the most financially successful period of his career , so how is there defamation when your stocks went up lol ,,,, SO WHAT ARE THE DAMAGES EXACTLY ? where are the sponsors that dropped him lol ,

This whole trial is bull**** and wont go to trial , they dropped one and they will drop the other .

Hard to determine how much Manny will get if this goes all the way. But comparing what lou DiBella was awarded $110,000 in compensatory damages and an additional $500,000 in punitive damages for the Libel remarks Hopkins made back in 2005. It can be assumed that Manny may get something similar or possibly more.

Problem is it has been brain racking to claim he can beat the test AND beat Floyd also. Apparently, that's not a feasible outcome to expect. Using the courts as a fear mechanism seems to be the most viable way to sway public opinion.

why should the mayweathers be worried about the lawsuit? they think slandering people is free speech. when others do it to them they get back by playing the race card. it's a ****** world in some parts of america. some can do it, but you can't do it to them. you're a racist if you do.
