  • To no surprise there are Pac fans crying all over this thread like it's meant to attack him specifically although Floyd is mentioned as well. I don't see any Floyd fans crying in this thread. That is the difference between Floyd fans and Pacquiao fans. Pac fans are the most delusional fan base that I've seen in any sport. Just look at what 1 of Pac's biggest fans has to say in my sig.

If either Leonard or Duran had the opportunity to fight Martinez best believe they'd take it.
Name 10 regular posters here who are Pac fans that think hes the GOAT.

Well off the top of my head I know Hugh Grant thinks he is. Btw, the OP is not just limited to NSB posters.

Your point was that Bob Arum was Ray Leonard's promoter, and that he's using the same sort of negotiating tactcs with Pacquiao today, that he used while promoting Leonard. As I've repeatedly told you in two seperate threads,Arum was never Leonard's promoter.Leonard never had a promoter.Outside of fights that involved his own fighters,Arum didn't have f^ck all to do with Leonard.

          Now,f^ck off,you worthless scrub.

You're either taking the piss or simply aren't aware that fighters back then didn't have over 24 hours to rehydrate up to nearly 20 pounds. In todays era,Leonard and Hearns could have made 140 quite easily with the amount of time given to rehydrate after the initial weigh-in.

yeh cus if Duran can make £20mil a fight at 147, he's really gonna move up 154. lmao

Duran was huge as a lightweight and when he wasn't fighting his big fights there he was fighting above 140 in his fights between.
What are you talking about? Those guys fought back in the days of the same day weigh in. They fought at their fighting weight, ie you weigh in at 130 lbs and come the time of the fight you are 130 lbs

don't matter that he lost, his Legacy was already SAFE from what he was able to do at 135, but the man wasn't afraid to test himself AGAINST THE BEST even at a older age

that is why I think it is HILARIOUS when you have these fans who try to rate Pacquaio and Mayweather so high...I don't even think they making out of that 4 Kings ERA (Duran, Leonard, Hagler and Hearns) ALIVE! So how can you rate them higher then anybody from just that ERA ALONE...but when you don't know your HISTORY when it comes to boxing...OF COURSE some of these fans Rankings are going to look CRAZY
or maybe that's the reason he took the risks, cuz like jones, at an advanced age and past it doesnt care about the results of the fights

what's your point? those guys were massive and could afford to move up plenty more classes

duran did **** all past ww and had visibly lost his hunger and was weight affected

asking pacquiao to fight martinez is just plain ******

Then why did he have alot of fights, at 140+, when he wasnt fighting his big fights at LW. It's well known that Duran cut a ton of weight prior to his fights because he always ballooned up in between fights.
