don't matter that he lost, his Legacy was already SAFE from what he was able to do at 135, but the man wasn't afraid to test himself AGAINST THE BEST even at a older age

that is why I think it is HILARIOUS when you have these fans who try to rate Pacquaio and Mayweather so high...I don't even think they making out of that 4 Kings ERA (Duran, Leonard, Hagler and Hearns) ALIVE! So how can you rate them higher then anybody from just that ERA ALONE...but when you don't know your HISTORY when it comes to boxing...OF COURSE some of these fans Rankings are going to look CRAZY
    Perfect way to describe it

Sugar Ray would've fought Sergio at 154 and forced him to put his lineal MW belt at stake. Ask Donny Lalonde.

ya but leonard was 5'9 so sergio would've ducked him. he only calls out fighters 5'8 or below unless they r goat farmers, japanese fishermen, or MMA w/ 10 professional fights.

I would definently favor Leonard to win...not dominate though...154-160 deff wasn't Leonard's best weight...

Sergio would stand a chance against Duran...but they aren't even the same size...Duran was past prime by the time he was at 154 and definitely not elite at 160...

                Ha

                What a dumb thread.

Duran was huge as a lightweight and when he wasn't fighting his big fights there he was fighting above 140 in his fights between.

Leonard and Hearnes were two of the biggest WW's the sport has ever seen and just going off the eyeball test, I would have to say both rehydrated to the mid 160's.....so how the fvkk is that even comparable to a small WW like manny who barely rehydrates to the WW limit (147-148).

Also another point you knuckle heads are missing is this; How long were each of those guys at those weights before moving up? Duran, Leonard and Hearnes spent several years at those classes, let there body fill out and get use to the weight and then they moved up. Now if Duran would have took 2-4 fights after Leonard one and then went to Haglar, you might have a point, but he didn't so save the "if it were Duran he would do it".

That's what kills me about some of you posters. You want Manny to just hop up to MW when he has only been at WW for a little over a year and just 3 years ago he was at 130. It's also the reason I keep saying if h fights Martinez it will be next year etc after he has either fought Mayweather or beaten a few of the fighters (Ortiz Bradley etc) at WW.

What blows my mind is people are accusing Pacquaio of ducking a bonafide top tier middleweight (Martinez) when the guys EVERYDAY walking weight is 145 lbs. The fact that Pac fights in the WW division (when realistically his weight should be LW) should tell you everything already.

Also how is he cherry-picking fighters when their is LITERALLY no one left to fight at WW besides Floyd (lol retired i guess). Ortiz and the other WW belt holders who PRAY that they would get a payday to fight Pac.

I understand people just want to see Pac lose but seriously. Just appreciate the fights we do see.

Man please, Manny fought his first ww fight against DLH in 2008. He is such a small ww but he got a bs belt in the 154lbs. weight division. Do you consider Pac an 8 division champ? If so why not fight Sergio at 154lbs.? I mean he did win Sergio's vacated belt at that weight division right? Btw, I'm not surprised to see you crying about Pac even though I mentioned Floyd as well. Typical!

Why am I not surprised? So Manny is really a lightweight but he claims a championship at the 154lbs. weight class. Please explain to me how this works. Manny is a certified cherry picker. Look at when he's fought everybody at ww. Bradley, Ortiz, or even Berto were/are out there for Pac to fight. Funny that your not crying about Floyd being mentioned.
