So yes UFC is bigger than WBO but it's not bigger than Boxing.
What are you talking about? If UFC drives more PPV buys than boxing, Isn't it financially bigger then?

Today UFC = MMA. There is no competition. At all.

WBO is nothing like UFC. I don't know why you brought that up.

this is like saying football is not bigger than boxing because NFL is a league.

How popular is Saul outside of mexico? Will he still be huge when he lose?

I wouldnt bank on him to carry the sport just yet.
Saul only needs support from Mexicans and Mexican-Americans (that's over 100 million people) to become a huge name in boxing. Support from those two groups will make him a multi-millionaire and a household name among boxing fans, assuming he satisfies all the hype.

You enter a boxing forum and brag about UFC > boxing, and you're surprised that you're getting red?!?

I love MMA, but I don't know how many times I've been to a UFC party with a bunch of friends who are hyped up, only to see them disappointed (or a sleep) when the event is over. If it wasn't for alcohol and hanging out buddies, more than half the events wouldn't even be worth paying for.

Of course boxing events (or non-UFC MMA events) can be equally crappy, but it seems like there are more boring UFC events than exciting ones. At least these days.

The UFC is bigger than boxing in the states, but not in most countries. UFC is expanding, but I have hard time believing UFC will be bigger than boxing in other countries.

It seems like UFC events, even free events on Spike or Versus get more play in bars than Pac fights. I'm in CA, don't know about everyone else.

And WWE is still huge and draws massive amount of money.

not even close. ufc & dana white remind me of donald trump who likes to remind people how much billions he has when in reality he's only really a millionaire.

& all this supposed take over & we are number one talk reminds me of people big upping some lame ass party as some bad ass super cool event trying to convince people that they are really something that they are not. Pac & floyd ppv fights always outdo UFC events.

UFC has NO TRANSCENDENT ATHLETE in its ENTIRE HISTORY. Boxing produces one every 5-10 years. UFC has a major shortage in true bona fide great elite fighters. Other than spider silva & GSP there is a major talent shortage. At least in boxing every single division has great talent.

UFC has reached its plateau while boxing will always have a steady stream of great fighters year in year out. UFC cannot compete with the great ebb & flow of a great boxing match. I live in the states & i am a sports junkie, UFC/MMA doesnt elicit the same coverage & interest a pacquiao or floyd fight create.

I'm not saying the UFC is better than Boxing, I'm saying their getting big and it's easier for them to make the super fights since their all under 1 organization.

Nothing beats the atmosphere of a boxing super fight but the MMA hate is outrageous, it's a good sport itself. If you like boxing you have to somewhat like MMA also.

boxingfans are insecure about MMA's success. (as is mmafans about boxing, quite funny how alike they are)

For some ****** reason, they feel threatened and don't realize boxing will ALWAYS be big, and that other sports success don't necessarily mean anything negative to "their" sport.

                    Theres room for both.
