Fighting 2-3 times per year is normal for both boxers and MMA fighters alike. In Overeem's case, fighting 8 cans per year is nothing exceptional.

I might be wrong here but I've heard this forever that UFC, as private company, don't release PPV numbers and that all of this is just a guess

Since HBO and WWE are both public companies, their PPV numbers are publicly released, their numbers are more reliable

Cain - overeem, gsp - silva, gsp - diaz, silva - jones etc etc.
Compared to the ones we want in boxing, it's nothing. You as a boxing fan like me know that.

Overeem has to finish the Strikeforce Grand Prix first then he will fight the UFC champ to unify.

it's true. the ufc ppv #'s are just estimates by people to my knowledge. they don't release them usually to my knowledge cus White knows they pale in comparison to boxing PPV #'s

There isn't any talent in MMA besides maybe 3 or 4 fighters in all weight classes and promotions combined.

I see lots of bums flopping around on the ground and guys that started training only 3 years ago

The cable companies would know the correct PPV numbers if Zuffa seem distrustful.

Considering 6 of em were in K1, I don't think they were cans.

He won the K1 World Grand Prix, Dream HW belt and is the strikeforce HW champ.

It's only getting better now too. Strikefroce GP then UFC.

How long did it take for Wilfredo Vazquez Jr. to win a title with no amateur career?
