Sports are a star driven league.

UFC biggest star is Dana White.

Not very big in the UK, no where near boxing.

        Heard of GSP?

The fact that amateurish joke of an athlete like kimbo slice & brock lesnar can come to MMA & automatically become a star is a bad omen for MMA/UFC.
Kimbo.. lol. Yeah, huge star that got thrown out of the ufc after going 1-1.

If you think Brock Lesnar is a joke athlete you might want to lookup his past college merits, aswell as his test scores when he tried out for the minnesota vikings.

        MMA ....

where rejects of other sports come to be successful.
Most of them are actually very successful wrestlers (as in NCAA, not wwe) and bjj guys. World class athletes.

We don't see many great boxers, because that sport has its own pro circuit. We do see some great thaiboxers though.

People wanted to see Kimbo fight so Dana signed him for 2 fights and drew huge numbers, Brock Lesnar brought over tons of WWE fans when he joined the UFC.

I don't think their rejects of other sports like you claim, there are so many young guys who grew up wanting to be MMA fighters(GSP is one).

Boxing has been around for how long? MMA/UFC just got serious attention from 2005-2006 and up and look where they are right now in such a short amount of time.

This is a boxing forum, and of course you can like both, but the majority seem to be supporting the UFC more.

Lol...its harldy comparable...in MMA, there are a ton of ways to finish a fight...compared to just a straight Ko in boxing......thus meaning that a fighter with no KO power wont get as many stoppages as a UFC fighter......

No it's not. It's huge in brazil but everywhere else boxing is much bigger. You can't cover the facts and the numbers.
