I'll be the first to say a lot of casual black fans are fair weather. But I have also noticed non-black fight fans like seeing that fall from black fighters. I have no problem with any fan calling a hype a hype but even the best black fighters get ****. Floyd is boring but winning. Bhop is boring but winning. Paul Williams is overrated but beat the best. Dawson is overrated but beat the best. Bradley is no good but undefeated and beat top guys. Berto is over paid but is a champion.

Malignaggi is average but he's "all heart". Katsidis is a heavy bag with feet but he's a "warrior". Andy Lee is par at best. Pirog has beaten one prospect but Martinez is ducking him huh? Its all pretty obvious. Dont tell me these black fighters of tis era are so different when fighters have always talked **** and made spectacles in and outside the ring. Boxing fans just need time enough to forget the unimportant and focus on great boxing when it comes to black fighters.
Its some, not all, some. But its no different than Blacks getting all giddy when an overrated white fighter gets his a ss handed to him.

Point is, all fighters from all walks of life get s hit when they lose. Its a part of sports and I don't see why people feel the need to cry about it.

White boxers, especially from europe need 30+ wins without a single defeat to even get noticed.

Mostly it's America overrating their athletes. The 2nd most overrated athete is the white football player like the tom bradys and the ben rothwells. Those dudes aint all that.

Now, did I say all Black fans are of the Black supremacist type?

No. I specifically singled out a particular type of Black fan. The Horus', the SonofIsis', the Burners', the yesirs', the M.I.Cs'.

Regular boxing fans, of any color, don't paint them as superior based on their race.

        Once again,

        as I stated before,

        Black supremacist fans, do.

Like it or not, those guys get alot of attention because of their stances. Those Black supremacist fans, with their views, up the standards of those fighters because of that. Is it fair? Of course not. But if you'll notice, most of the back lash is directed to those fans when one of their favorites loses, not all Black fighters in general.

Now, in regards to Black fans, just like I stated the other day, Black fans only support Black athletes in large numbers, when that athlete is dominating. Which is why you don't see large numbers for PW, Dawson, etc.

Now in regards to the Klits, is Vitali not dominating his division? Why wouldn't he get praise for that? In regards to what you get as I karma message, how would I know? I don't have the option of seeing others karma messages so frankly, I don't give a ****, nor do I see a thread crying about white boxers being held to a higher standard.

Are there white supremacist fans here? Yes. There are for every nationality.

        So, whats your point? None.

To answer the original question again,

In simple terms, no, Black us boxers are not held to a higher standard. Its when Black supremacist fans of those fighters tend to rate them higher than they should be, and then they get their a ss whipped is when threads like this happen.

If a certain segment of fan didn't overrate the **** out of a boxers ability just because of their skin color,

there wouldn't be so much s hit flung around after he gets chin checked.
lol...so what your telling me is because of 5 posters, black fighters should be held to a higher standard.......utter nonsense.......if that was the case with Burner...why is he picking Ortiz to beat Berto....surely if he thinks all black fighters are superior, he would think that Berto would murk Ortiz....outside of Burner's extreme love for PWIll, and Floyd...I dont see him lawd up any other boxer.....its a shame that you are so influenced by what a group of fans who overhype fighters who happen to be black...and use that as a reason to hold black fighters in high regard......

If you had actually read all the thread...some fans DID admit that they are held to a higher standard...because of the histrory of black fighters....

Also dont act as though it is only blacks who watch their fighters when they are dominating...most of Mexico didnt give a sh.it about MMA, until Cain Velazquez won the title....just like when Manny started getting mainstream attention....more Pinoys got into boxing.......

Because Canelo isnt getting overhyped in Mexico.......

No one bats an eyelid at Bute getting overhyped in Canada....but for some reason...its against the law for America to overhype their own athletes.....

If black boxers receive more criticism on NSB (I don't think they do), then much of it can be put at the door of their delusional 'fans' who talk them up way beyond their ability.

Where did I say they "should" be held to a higher standard?

                I didn't.

All I said was, imo, some people do slam Black fighters when they lose because of people who overrate them for one reason, the color of their skin. You, are taking it a little too personal and getting all huffy puffy for no reason.

Btw, I'm not acting as if its only Blacks who watch their fighters when they are dominating.

I just don't see threads from other races crying about their guys being held to a higher standard.

I know that nationality and race, as ****** as it is, plays a huge part in sports.

But thats because most of those people are simple minded.

Now this is what I find interesting,

its a shame that you are so influenced by what a group of fans who overhype fighters who happen to be black...and use that as a reason to hold black fighters in high regard......
One on hand, people like you, b itch and moan that Black fighters aren't given enough credit.

Then, you b itch and moan when they're held in high regard.
No matter what, its never enough. Should we praise Black fighters? Or should we not hold them in high regard?

Some of you can never be pleased because you look at sports from race tinted glasses.
When you take those off, and just enjoy the beauty of sport and its competitors, regardless of race or color,

you'll enjoy it that much more.

                  Nobody.

But you're lying to yourself if you don't know that americans tend to overrate everything thats american.

it is pretty obviously that a lot of you take this board too serious and you guys think that comments on this board is a representation of the REAL WORLD! Everybody is BOLD on the INTERNET because they are FACELESS, these same people who bash Pacquiao and Mayweather and others on these Boxing Forums are the same people who when they seen them are the first ones to ask for a Autograph

STOP TAKING THIS FORUM SO SERIOUS! One guy list 5 black (or he is assuming they are Black lol) posters on this forum and want to use that as a representation of "MOST BLACK PEOPLE" lol HOW IGNORANT IS THAT?

as for Black Fighters...HELL YES THE STANDARD IS HIGH! Just pull out any All Time Great List and look who is mostly ON THAT LIST? BLACK FIGHTERS! So naturally a black fighter will always be compared to legends from the past, just like in the Amateurs, Cubans fighters also have HIGH STANDARD and EXPECTATIONS, with that TRADITION and SUCCESS FOR DECADES UPON DECADES...that creates a lot of HATE, ENVY and people who wants to see their OWN rated up their with all those LEGENDS

Sadly, so many people have turned to picking fighters BASED ON RACE, so already then have a BIASED Opinions, which is why they go around labeling every fighter "OVERRATED" but when it comes to their own...THEY MAKE A TON OF EXCUSES, WE ARE ALL GUILTY OF THIS, WE ALL OVERRATED OUR OWN! EVERY COUNTRY OVERRATED THEIR OWN!

If they're held to a higher standard as you say,

blame their idiotic Black supremacist fans who love to shout about their athletic superiority.

Where does it say "most Black people"?

Or, are you saying that "most Black people", are Black supremacists?
