    I didn't.

All I said was, imo, some people do slam Black fighters when they lose because of people who overrate them for one reason, the color of their skin. You, are taking it a little too personal and getting all huffy puffy for no reason.

Btw, I'm not acting as if its only Blacks who watch their fighters when they are dominating.

I just don't see threads from other races crying about their guys being held to a higher standard.

I know that nationality and race, as ****** as it is, plays a huge part in sports.

But thats because most of those people are simple minded.

Now this is what I find interesting,

One on hand, people like you, b itch and moan that Black fighters aren't given enough credit.

Then, you b itch and moan when they're held in high regard.
No matter what, its never enough. Should we praise Black fighters? Or should we not hold them in high regard?

Some of you can never be pleased because you look at sports from race tinted glasses.
When you take those off, and just enjoy the beauty of sport and its competitors, regardless of race or color,

you'll enjoy it that much more.
When have I said they are not given enough credit......I have never said any black fighter deserves to ranked higher or given more praise...your reading too much into what Im saying......the only black fighter I think deserves more respect is P Will...who beat a prime Margarito and beat Martinez (controversially)..yet is written off as a bum the second he loses..sure he was some what overrated....but IMO he is still a good fighter....

Where has anyone said that Berto, Jacobs, or Pwill (other than Burner) were the best fighters in the world.......how many Jacobs, Berto sigs or Kirland sigs do you see on this forum..I have probably seen more Canelo sigs/ava than all the fighter I have mentioned combined.......

The main problem I have is people using the reason "because Americans overhype their fighter" as if they are the only country guilty of it........

Conversly..maybe if you didnt worry so much about Floyd/black fans, then you will enjoy the sport more because a number of your posts do seem targeted towards them.....

To say his only good win is Kessler is very ironic considering Kessler was the highest ranking SMW going into the tournament. He hasnt had any close fights against top guys so whats not P4P about that. Id be interested in picking your P4P list to pieces.
here's more than 10 pfp guys ahead of him in no particluar order without thinking about it

      manny

        • Once bhop and mayweather retire for good there won't be any top black fighters in boxing anymore unless you want to count ward.

It's pretty much written in stone that there will never be another black heavyweight champ ever again in boxing now that eastern europeans are allowed to box professionally.

Or, are you saying that "most Black people", are Black supremacists?

Regardless, your trying to use that as some sort of Representation and that is a JOKE, the problems is that some people on this FORUM just can't be UNBIASED, so they cover their IGNORANT RACIST BULL**** up with the "I AM A FAN OF THIS OR THAT FIGHTER...BUT" just so they won't come off as the RACIST PIECE OF **** they really are

people on this board have double standard for certain fighters no matter if they want to admit it or not, when a Rican fighter or Black fighter loses, people GO CRAZY and start to post some of the most IGNORANT STUFF

lol, the pot calling the kettle, black. No pun intended.

Btw, I enjoy the sport just fine. I just like making Floyds fans look dumb. Especially because they make excuse after excuse after excuse as to why he hasn't fought this guy and that guy in the last 5 years in the welterweight division.

But again, to answer the original question, amongst boxing fans,

no, Black fighters are not held to a higher standard than any other race of fighters.

You, just happened to read too much, and wrongly I might add, about what I said, just like you, happen to read too much into people saying Paul is a bum because of a KO loss.

Its boxing, the fight game. KOs happen, and are exciting. Most greats have suffered them in one way or another because they've faced the best, time after time.

Another thing, I've made numerous threads about other figures in boxing, past and present, about boxing issues, in and out of the ring, and guess what?

Those threads rarely, if ever, see a second page. Nobody wants to talk about Panama Al Brown, or Ruben Olivares, or a boxers eating and sleeping patterns after weigh in.

So, just because you think you know what I like to talk about on this board,

              doesn't necessarily make it true.

No, you're trying to use that as some sort of representation.

I clearly painted specific lines to decipher between groups of people.

HOW? I never singled out any particular race or group of people, I didn't say "BLACK PEOPLE" or "MEXICANS" or "Cubans" or "Ricans"

I point out what goes on while I am on this Forum, I don't try to take what goes on while I am on this board and try to use it as a REPRESENTATION OF THE ENTIRE WORLD, if people do that then that means they are on this board too much and has clearly lost touch with REALITY!

There is a great tradition in American Boxing and each crop of fighters is expected to carry the torch. I actually think this is a good thing because it instills a certain confidence in a fighter to succeed. It also creates a certain drive that is needed to become a world class fighter.

paulie is on all the time because he brings viewership and people to the fights. he created himself and worked hard to do it...which brings me to number two.

berto and dawson did NOTHING to bring their riches. they have no fans and get no ratings. they can't draw shi t in their own hometowns.

and finally the jacobs and kirkland thing. those two (especially jacobs) were given everything. jacobs was signed to GB before he beat anyone. black fighters are coddled here because of their high expectations.

When is the last you hear this, "He looks like the next 'fill in the blank.'"

blank = any of the following: SRR, Ali, SRL, Hagler, SweetP, and Hearn

With increase participation of blacks into "white-collar" jobs and improvement in economic opportunities, the "exodus" of black fighters have accelerated. Larger participation in other sports also contribute to this. If you look at the current "big-name" black fighters, a few have essentially been raised from the boxing family. Mayweather and Moseley are two examples of this.

This trend for your so-called higher standard also applies to many Mexican and Mexican-American fighters. Often, I think JMM is not respected as much due to his fighting style. I think this is plain wrong.
Johnny...when you say that black fighters arent held to a higher standard....is it your own feelings..or are you simply stating a fact....because like I said...if you had read the rest of the posts...people did think that the reason they is because of the great history in American boxing.......

I clearly said, "Black supremacist fans".
