Back on topic: maybe in the past TS is right and that higher standard had a hand in producing all of the great black American fighters which constitute the bulk of p4p greats.

But today? No. If black US fighters were held to a higher standard than everybody else we'd have more Joe Louis, SRRs and Marvelous Marvin Haglers. But we don't.

If there are higher expectations amongst the peanut gallery that inhabit the mssg boards, that can be blamed on the dolts running around spouting off about some alleged "slick-blackness"...

i'm not sold on ward. he's top 3-4 smw, but his best win is over kessler...his style is all wrong for kessler who has no inside game.

if ward was really a pfp talent he's be knocking dudes like allan green and the colombian heavy bag edison miranda's block off.

the good thing about ward is we will know the truth about him cuz he's manly. no one can ever call him a duck, and if he wins the tourney I will consider him a top pfp fighter and obviously the best smw in the world, it'll be bute's responsibility to get in the ring with ward then to prove himself

It was no doubt the ugliest fight but Ward clearly won in my book. If you look over Bika's previous fights and style then hyou see he's trouble for anybody. Thats one of those tough outs any good boxer's gonna have.

What "crap"? That was a fun fight to watch. Props to a Bika who clearly came to win and (through determination more than skill) was able to pressure Andre into a near brawl.

I can't see how "some people" could have had Bika winning, tho. Once Ward committed to the idea, he just started lightin' him up. Flat kicked Bika's ass. It wasn't really even close.

All black American athletes from every sport are always overrated. Any black boxer that strings together 10 knock outs is considered the next mike tyson.

White boxers, especially from europe need 30+ wins without a single defeat to even get noticed.

Mostly it's America overrating their athletes. The 2nd most overrated athete is the white football player like the tom bradys and the ben rothwells. Those dudes aint all that.
