But then tell us where these black supremist fans are telling us that Berto, Broner and Jacobs were going to be the best in their divisons....

I dont ever see it........the truth is, most of the fighters I listed suck, in one way or another, and that is represented on these forums with a lack of support for these fighters.........

      Those are my own feelings.

Some people think different opinions on the same topic. They also use different criteria to come to their conclusion, especially in this case, as there was no criteria given on how to answer. Some people used past history, and someone like myself, used a completely different set of rules to answer the question.

Now, if you pose the question like this,

"based on past boxing history, are Black boxers in the U.S., held to a higher standard?"

      Then, I would answer "yes".

But the question was very vague and open to interpretation.

However, if you read the opening post,

and based on what he said,

we could say that Miguel Cotto was held to a higher standard as well.

      After his first loss,

people were claiming he was past his prime.

I guess it depends on how they lost and the type of fight it was in...Cotto took a brutal beating against Marg....but I guess, like you said, it is subjective....

just to make it clear...I never said black fighters should get more credit.....the only fighter I feel deserves a bit more respect is P Will....solely based on his resume......

I would like to also add P. Rican fighters and euro fighters to that list. Only group I never see critized is mexicans. Dudes can get knocked the f-ck out or straight up outclassed and it would be ok because they were a warrior. Or some f@gget **** like "they have b@lls".

              • To answer your question of are black fighters held to a higher standard, if we use Boxingscene as any kind of measurement than the answer is an overwhelming yes.

Why is it only when a black fighter loses the next day or right after the fight race threads pop up? This cannot be disputed because if you are in this thread right now reading this post, you are in a thread inspired by a lost from a black fighter to a fighter of another race.

I find it funny how some fans here on boxingscene like to say it is black surpremist are the reason for their mindless hate. But ignore the fact that not only black fans support fighters from their race.

All fans do it. People naturally like people who are like themselves. This is as old as time itself. So save me the Bull**** about so called black surpremist causes your hate.

You guys hate, because your hatred is reinforces your own self beliefs of how you feel about Black fighters and Black people in general.
So the comments after a black fighter lose does not surprise me, it only reinforces what I believe. This is that most of you guys have an inferiority complex when it comes to black fighters.

The irony of all of this is that for you guys who say it is the black surpremist causing your hate. How come you hardly ever see Race threads pop when notable Black fighters win matches over fighters from a different race. Surly that would be a time for black surpremist to brag and gloat about their races victory. However it doesn’t happen.

The majority of time we see race threads is when Black fighters loses!
Now ask yourself why is that?
Why are race threads so popular when a notable black fighter loses?

Looking at the evidence here on boxingscene, we already know the answer.

                hardly NO RACE THREADS
When Bradley beat Alexander no Race like this pop up!
When Mayweather beat Hatton and De la hoya no Race like this pop up!
When Mosley beat Margarito no Race like this pop up!

When Rios beat Peterson; Race threads like this pop up
When Martinez beat Williams; Race threads like this pop up
When Forch beat Taylor; Race threads like this pop up.

Hopefully this answered your question of are black fighters held to a higher standard.

I noticed this also Horus, it seems to follow an exact pattern doesn't it? I can almost assure you no race threads would of arised if Berto stopped Ortiz in that 6th round.

Perhaps we should start making race threads and gif images when our fighters beat boxers of nationalities/races, what do you think?

Man, we do not need to gloat and brag everytime a black fighter wins, what would be the point. We havent done it before, we shouldnt do it now.
However, it is no denying if a black fighter loses the race threads pop up.

Thus proving the point of this thread.
