why is everyone hating on martinez seriously but it is a good thing cuz everyone knows the dude is a threat HAHHAHHAH well who the Hell is sergio gona fight next and i think hes last fight didnt do good on ratings cuz ive not really know who he last opponent was and i forgot hes name but anyways i think sergio should just fight at 160 from now on cuz the dude doesnt have opponents other than kirkland in the future and he himself said he is going back to 154 so thats a useless fight for now..

Lol of course you have a feeling Floyd will rise to the occasion...SHOCKING! But seriously, what gives you that feeling? Inactivity? 2 extended vacations? Paul Spadafora rumors? Not rising to the occasion since 2005?

        Thanks. I missed that.

I think the majority of the blame here falls on HBO, they simply don't have a date for Sergio right now. But they do have some dates for some TBA fights in the meantime.

They HAVE to have Devon, Pwill, Dizzy, and Bradley on according to contracts they foolishly doled out.

He said it helps Manny absorb punches from bigger fighters. He also said that was the tactic he started using against Cotto.
          are you really this naive?

just about every fighter comes down from their walk around weight.

saying Manny trains at 151-153 SHOULD tell you he is not a Junior Middleweight considering if he is already at that weight while his opponent would be COMING DOWN to that weight

Martinez is the best, what he's achieved against top competition puts him at number one.

What he's trying to point out is that Manny and Floyd were bigger draws back then than Sergio is right now. They both had PPV fights before even fighting Oscar and were considered paydays for DLH. Martinez, on the other hand, is one or two fights away from making his first PPV at the age of 36 or 37 years old.

Btw I'm not hating on Martinez, but I'm pointing out the obvious.

and so what? martinez probably starts his training weighing mid 170's to low 180's...the only difference is that pac doesnt have to lose 15 to 20 lbs to make weight like most other boxers...this includes sergio martinez, and many many others.

tell me YSF, WhoTF comes into training weighing within their division limit? only a dum.b fool wouldnt know that its normal for a boxer to go into training weighing more than their division limit...THATS WHAT 3+ MONTHS OF INACTIVITY DOES TO A BOXER...they gain weight

also note that pac did mention the reason why he went into the fight against margarito weighing in below the catchweight of 151...going into the fight weighing i believe it was around 144/145...due to the fact that at the 151-153 pac said he felt slow n sluggish
