I agree but that doesn't take away the fact that Manny fought for a 154LB title at a 150 catchweight? AND now says he is too small. That is the REAL JOKE.

Really? The original plan was for Pac to come in at 148ish but they realized in training camp that it had a negative effect on his speed, which is obviously Pac's main asset. So he came in at 144.6 (aka welterweight) and gave up 17 lbs in the ring to a guy who already had 4-5" of height and 6" of reach on him.

Roach had said during the training camp that Pac was going back and staying at welter, and that was reiterated immediately after the fight. So where's the joke? You guys act like Manny planned on campaigning at 154 long term and then when Sergio begged for a fight all of a sudden he decided he was too small.

He and his team realized this in training camp and after the fight it was sealed. Sergio is a very good fighter, but maybe he should think about fighting Middleweights since, you know, he is the middleweight champion. Just saying.

That's why I say Sergio isn't doing himself any favors by staying with Dibella. If you're not a PPV fighter and don't have a real fan base, why is it incumbent on guys who do to carry you and give you scraps from their table? Nothing wrong with P4Pers fighting one another, but get real. The RING MW champion should fight MWs, not constantly go fishing for smaller guys.

If he or his team can't convince people to give a **** about his fights, that's on them. Maybe Sergio should get with someone who can actually promote and make people want to pay $60 to watch HIM fight, not to be the B-Side on a midget's card.

          Just a thought though.

When fight fans realize that Pac's opponents are chosen on ability level and stage of their careers, rather than size, and stop buying all the nonsense, we might get the once against see the so called P4P King in the ring with someone relevant again. Roach claimed that Yuri Foreman was too tall for Pac. Yet, he fought Margarito, who's the same height as Foreman. They wanted nothing to do with Mosley after he demo'd Plasterman. Yet now, Mosley is all of a sudden this major attraction that has to be visited. Please. I don't know what's the bigger joke. Pac and crew's nonsense, or the folks who buy it. I guess since one is paying and the other is getting paid, the customer is ultimately the bigger joke.

Mayweather and Pacquaio would be irreleavnt at the megastar level without DLH. That's how it works homie. You have to be given a chance. Right now, Money and Pac hold all the cards. If they choose to give Maravilla a chance, maybe he can become a star. If they shoose not to take the risk, he won't. He doesn't have to power, regardless of who's getting half of his purses.

                Get the **** outta here.

Both Pacquiao and Mayweather were PPV stars pulling in 300-400K buys when they were FEATHERWEIGHTS (Welter for Floyd). Obviously fighting DLH put them in a higher stratosphere but both guys were pulling their own weight and were bonafide PPV stars long before that.

When was the last time the MIDDLEWEIGHT Martinez headlined a PPV?

Why hasn't HBO released the ratings for his fight with Dzinziruk yet?

Again, study up and then post. Sergio wants to eat scraps off of stars' plates? He should prove that he's a viable financial option for them and not just some guy no one's ever heard of or cares about outside of internet forums.

Now if he comes into the weigh in just as he is right now at 151-153, how many pounds would he rehydrate?

You sound like a complete pu$$y making excuses for this dude. It's not about weight when this guy just fought at the weight he's being called out at. I rest my case.

Beating either guy would make Sergio the man to beat but due to the fact that he is a champion @160 he would then have to answer to the bigger guys just like PBF and Manny did. I'm certainly not saying he beats Floyd but he damn sure wouldn't beat Andre Ward. I think PBF/Martinez is a mega-fight.
