He was still fighting a tough opponent much bigger than himself.

Size isn't everything, the state he was in at the time is much more important, its not a good win and does nothing for Pacs resume.

If you agree to fight at a catch-weight, then you cannot hold it against your opponent if you lose. Pacman beating Margarito would be equivalent to Hopkins beating a decent cw

And, nobody mentions Pac win over Ledwaba, that's a very underrated win. Ledwaba was arguably the best 122 pound fighter at the time.

And, Pac took that fight on 3 weeks notice and destroyed Ledwaba.
Like I said in the history section It's an underrated win, better than some wins these idiot Pacqiauo fans scream an shout about. Especially considering the factors surrounding it.

But it's about as good as Hopkis win over Echols or Holmes, IMO.

I wasn't referring to the catchweight, I was referring to how faded Margarito was.

No it wouldn't because Margarito wasn't decent, and hadn't proved he was decent, it would be the equivalent of Hopkins taking on a once decent cruiserweight who had got brutalised in his last significant fight, had a year and a half of inactivity, and looked crap against a journeyman.

LOL!! All your points on Margarito versus Cotto, let's see you man up. Margarito is still elite and will destroy anybody not named Pac, Mosley or Mayweather at WW.

Bernard hopkins is better but it's close. His title reign, best wins and consistency rank him higher.
