I agree, because even when moronic Mayweather fans make ****** threads and posts there is usually some semblance of a rational thought. *******s literally make sh** up and defend it as fact.
i've always expressed this thought. most mayweather fans actually know a thing or two about the sport since they've been following it a lot longer. but like any sane person, the longer you are exposed to a ******* the easier it is for you to not give a shit anymore and just troll... especially when every boxing forum has been overpopulated and started being managed by these scumbags. *******s being the deluded, opinionated people that they are, gave these trolls a name (*****), gave them a definition, and went to war. what they don't realize is that they created them. it's all comedy really.
Pacquaio still has the Margarito and Barerra II wins
Pacman >>>>> Hopkins
how are you going to say JMM is a better win than trinidad?
Pacquiao barely sc****d by JMM two times. Hopkins destroyed an undefeated Trinidad who was a 7-1 favorite to win the fight.
Trinidad >>>>>>>>>>>> JMM
Also you don't include Glen Johnson on there, if anything Glen Johnson >>>>> Clottey.
And hatton better than Pavlik? Pavlik also an undefeated fighter who was a 4-1 favorite over hopkins. Hatton had already been KO'd and Pac was a heavy favorite to win.
It's close either way though, two of my favorites.
While I'm tempted to go in on this thread....ill just fall back outta respect for B-hop.
IMO this shouldnt even be up for debate.
c'mon TR...you bigger than that my dude...let it out...get it off ya chest fam....I got a couple of clips I've been holding back as well outta respect for Manny....dude is a REAL fighter and he's carrying the game on his back dolo right now....so us boxing fans have to tip our hat to dude....so I chose not to rinse my clip up in here....just let a couple rounds scatter .....let off my dude!!
pac is a monster one of the greatest fighters ive ever seen but i think alot of people are mezmorized by him destroying these flat footed straight ahead one demesional boxers.... since marquez id say cotto was the only fighter with somewhat of a difficult style that could have gave pac trouble, in which its not terrible they are all professional boxers also so im not gonna just throw the wins out the window, but bhop has did it against many different styles, hes always adapted and outsmarted his opponent i think his style is why most people dont give him respect while pacs style makes people discredit anything outside of it, bhop has fought some great names when they were HOT.... his loses to taylor were fraud he won both of those fights, the loss to calazage is debatable but he lost... either way it goes both of them are great but to say its not even close in pacs favor is a horrible statement
if you have an Andre berto type reign for 20 title defenses or you pick scrubs for your fights the entire time, it doesn't mean as much. But seeing as how this is a bhop thread and no one else at mw ever had that many defenses of the belts, I think it's worth talking about bhop's streak specifically.
There were plenty of solid fights in there, with the champion getting everyone's best shot. There are also some great bhop performances vs dudes who are no joke.
I see people frequently defend other fighters resumes using solid wins in championship fights. This was no calzaghe reign
I never claimed it was a Calzaghe type reign Hopkins resume is in a different league of course, saying things like the bolded is a huge reason why it needs to be addressed he does not hold that record, he did not beat the lineal champ nor did he face the relevant contender for that 'title', he hasn't beat Monzon or Hagler for the record and he is tied with Ketchel and Greb. He still never faced the number 2 contender during that timeframe of 95 to 01, beating some good contenders doesn't make you champion.

And, when people start saying that, is when the argument comes in that is not really 20 title defenses.
Hager nor Monzon had the benefit of fighting during the 4 belt era...If they did then maybe who knows, how many title defenses they would of had.
So to say nobody has ever done it is misleading. Because, Monzon has what? 14 title defenses of being THEE champion. Double of what Hopkins has at MW
