The last sentence is funny because I thought Whitaker looked so much better and was more impressive against a prime Oscar than what Floyd was against a done Oscar.

That's the only reason Whitaker got hit, was because of his punch output.

If he averaged the output of Floyd. Whitaker would have never been touched.

Hands down Whitaker is the best defensive fighter of my lifetime...All time? It's between him, Locche, and Pep.

Whitaker at 135 beats Pac by a pretty wide decision. At 147? I might edge Whitaker, I might but it would be much closer.

At 135 Whitaker wins a close decision against Floyd. At 147? I might give Floyd the edge. Both fights will be chess matches.

At 135 and 140 I think JCC beats both Floyd and Pac in a very close fight and the Pac fight being an F'ing war. At 147, I think both Floyd and Pac beat JCC pretty comfortably.

Taylor would give both hell but lose to both.

Judah is not even in the equation right now. But, considering how both fighters like to operate maybe he is.

      Overall good interview by Whitaker.
Which is how I see it.

pacquiao and mayweather will retire as greater fighters than chavez and whitaker who are both legends....

but pacquiao and mayweather are two of the greatest ever.... and their legacies will only grow once they retire....

but he's right about zab's speed and jab beating pacquiao.... i think zab is actually 'techincally' one of the most dangerous fights out there for pacquiao at 140..... just because of his combination of power, speed and southpaw stance.....

but zab has to put himself in the picture by beating an alexander or marquez.... he may earn that shot... but i fear his lack of mainstream exposure may make him an easy fighter to duck.... he's the same age as pacquiao and he stacks up well.... i don't think it would be a fight pacquiao's camp would take.... he'd have to beat marquez to prove himself....
Not at the rate that they're going, they will not be ranked higher at all. If they want to be ranked higher then they need to start putting in work.

Fighting once every 18 months and old washed up recycled fighters is not putting in work.

I consider Floyds win more clearer.

But considering the stage Whitaker was at and the stage Oscar was at in their respective careers and as Whitaker clearly beat Oscar (IMO) I would say theres no question Whitaker was more impressive.

I thought Floyd was reasonably unimpressive against Oscar actually.

Win every round and make them look like amateurs? Floyd would figure out Pea like he does every fighter. Has Pea ever fought an opponent like Floyd? Floyd has fought Zab, Sharmba, and other slick Southpaws, Pea needed 2 fights just to separate himself from Buddy McGirt, and Buddy is no Floyd. And even vs Chavez, if he had any power at all maybe he could of backed JCC up at least once, I saw that draw coming a mile away!

I have no problem with people who like Whitaker more but there is no way he is a better pure, slick, or technical boxer than Floyd. Floyd is also a smarter fighter in the ring which is yet another advantage over Pea. And someone wrote Pea is physically stronger, I doubt that to.

Whitaker would blank the **** out of Mosley and JMM.

No, but seriously. At 135, Whitaker beats both with absolute ease.

                  Different caliber of fighters.

Maybe if Whitaker had more power FFS's. This mofo stopped JCC in his tracks...Who does that? Not saying that he had power, but he had respectable power. And, stopping JCC in his tracks proves that. Floyd couldn't stop JLC in his tracks. But, Floyd also has respectable power also.

I swear I feel some Floyd became fans of the sport in 2007 just like some Pac fans became fans in 2008.

And, now they want to give their $0.02 in a subject or fighter they no nothing about. They just go with myths and popular belief instead of actually watching fights.
