I guess its all preference and I prefer Floyd's style a lot more, Pea, to me, was too defensive, thats why he would lose some of those big fights, though controversial. If Pea fought Floyd in a fantasy duel I see him losing for the same reason staying on defense, never sustaining a lasting attack. I've seen the way Floyd attacks southpaws, he beats them constantly to the body and hurts them. Floyd would have nothing to fear from Pernell's offense, not many great fighters did.

Pernell can beat Mayweather because I think he has more "offense" relatively than Mayweather. Both are obviously slick but Pernell is a tad slicker too. Pacquiao would probably have the hardest time fighting Pernell but knowing Pac as a machine gun, he has a puncher's chance.

I believe he almost doubles Mayweather's usual output, there is a very distinct difference in their workrate. Don't take my word for it, but the difference is that clear.

Pernell was more wiggly but I wouldn't call him slicker, Pernell needed to move his whole body out the way with his D, Floyd can stand flat footed and still make u miss, and Floyd imo, is easily the better counterpuncher.

maynever is the dissapointing indeed...the guy like top 4 greatest defencive fighters to ever lace em up with sweet pea/nicolino loche/willie pep/floyd jr that alone is acomplishment itself...and the guys offencive skills and presice countering and amazing reflexes plus great conditioning and mind the defence and adaptation quality makes him a unique fighter but..............this was preety boy floyd from the late late 90's and very early 2000 not the other guy money maynever...

LOL @ Whitaker being too defensive, look at his punch output compared to Floyd FFS's.

That's the only reason Whitaker got hit, was because of his punch output.

If he averaged the output of Floyd. Whitaker would have never been touched.

Hands down Whitaker is the best defensive fighter of my lifetime...All time? It's between him, Locche, and Pep.

Whitaker at 135 beats Pac by a pretty wide decision. At 147? I might edge Whitaker, I might but it would be much closer.

At 135 Whitaker wins a close decision against Floyd. At 147? I might give Floyd the edge. Both fights will be chess matches.

At 135 and 140 I think JCC beats both Floyd and Pac in a very close fight and the Pac fight being an F'ing war. At 147, I think both Floyd and Pac beat JCC pretty comfortably.

Taylor would give both hell but lose to both.

Judah is not even in the equation right now. But, considering how both fighters like to operate maybe he is.

              Overall good interview by Whitaker.

Would Pernell blank Shane Mosley & Juan Manuel Marquez? I doubt it.... I can easily see Floyd blanking chavez as well. I dont think Whitaker has any win Floyd couldn't match and in more impressive and dominant fashion, and yeah I see Floyd "clearly" beating the Tito and Oscar Pea fought too.

Does anyone know what the judges scores were at the time of the stoppage? (Judah/Mabuza)

lol at whitaker.... i'm a fan... if pacquiao's the chavez of this generation.... just look at the speed difference....

if mayweathers the whitaker of this generation just look at the power difference....

pacquiao and mayweather will retire as greater fighters than chavez and whitaker who are both legends....

but pacquiao and mayweather are two of the greatest ever.... and their legacies will only grow once they retire....

but he's right about zab's speed and jab beating pacquiao.... i think zab is actually 'techincally' one of the most dangerous fights out there for pacquiao at 140..... just because of his combination of power, speed and southpaw stance.....

but zab has to put himself in the picture by beating an alexander or marquez.... he may earn that shot... but i fear his lack of mainstream exposure may make him an easy fighter to duck.... he's the same age as pacquiao and he stacks up well.... i don't think it would be a fight pacquiao's camp would take.... he'd have to beat marquez to prove himself....
