****ty fights should belong on independent ppv. that way people have a choice to buy it or not. rather they were on ppv than on showtime or hbo.
Ok, so say you don't care. Because that other statement is still ridiculous.

****ty fights shouldn't cost me $40 extra unless I'm in the arena. WTF?

Paq is my favorite fighter, but he needs to fight JMM again, and it needs to happen a little below 147.

          you don't get it.

being on independent ppv gives you the option of spending your money or not.

i prefer that over those same ****ty fights being on hbo or showtime and taking spots of fights i'd rather see.

that's why i don't have a problem with those independent ppv's. besides those things barely break even for the promoters anyway. as many fighters there are , not everyone can fight on hbo or showtime.

those independent ppv's keep fighters active and gives their fans a way to still watch them on tv. just depends on whether they are worth it to them or not.

The option shouldn't be pay an extra $40 or nothing. We're boxing fans, we should be able to watch it all. You know, like how we used to? Like other sports? The solution isn't adding more pay per views, it's less.

but hatton wanted a tuneup first.

think both ricky and oscar are regretting it?

don't know what would have happened in hatton-delahoya.......

but my guess is oscar doesn't quit on his stool while made out to look like a fool in from of millions of vieweres......and doubt ricky gets embarassingly laid out. (and even if he did , he got laid out by a bigger oscar delahoya not a blown up featherweight)

                but that is the options.

                pay or nothing.

how many fighters are there? how many fights a year?

not all of it can be handled by showtime/hbo/espn.

                just not possible.

those independent ppv's are there so you can watch your favorite fighter in a tuneup. or some prospect you're watching keep busy against a tomato can.

You're absolutely right about that. I can't disagree.

Exactly. The same people who were screaming 'Pac is ducking Marquez!' are now crying about it possibly happening

Why? Because Oscar and GBP won't get their cut? Tough ****, the fans get the fight they want to see, shouldn't matter who's getting the promoter's share, right?
