Merchant has never liked Floyd and should keep his name out of his very biased mouth. How do you duck Margarito for a much tougher, bigger fish in Oscar? And how do you duck Cotto when you called him out several times when you were a light-wt and he was a Jr-Welter-wt? When does the bigger name, more successful fighter fight on the smaller name guy's terms? Larry Merchant's mouth in one of the things wrong with boxing. One minute he says boxing is a business of good decisions then he says Floyd avoided a fighter to fight a far more lucrative fight. Matter of fact the most lucrative fight in boxing history to this date but at the same time its cool for Manny to fight 7 consecutive fighters coming off of huge losses. STFU Larry.

You are right. Beating Antonio Margarito with padded gloves at 147 would have been much tougher than beating Oscar De La Hoya at 154 when Oscar chose the ring size, chose Mayweather's gloves, chose the weight size and probably chose the color of Mayweather's shorts!

Floyd Mayweather Jr already beat Shane Mosley at a time when Pac
was ducking him. How is the bolded logic? Some People say that Pac
fights with Oscar and Hatton were better wins, so what are you
talking about? May fought them first and beat them all on winning
streaks. The Hatton KO was impressive for Pac but Pac did duck
Mosley.

Cotto beat Shane at 147. Below is the real reason why Pac chose Cotto
instead of Mosley.......


That and because Cotto is a Top Rank fighter.

So what if Cotto beat Shane at 147. Cotto came in at 146 at the weigh in against Mosley. And its not as if the 1 lb was the difference why Cotto defeated Mosley, and Pac defeated Cotto.

Pac fought Clottey after the Cotto fight so your argument about Cotto looking like **** against Clottey does not stick. He fought both fighters successively.

And besides Clottey has always been a difficult against the top WW(other than Pac).. His close loses against Margarito and Cotto is a testament to that.

I garruntee if Pacquiao gets by Mosley in dominating fashion (and I assure you he will), he would be favored to beat Mayweather if they were to fight sometime in the next year or so. Manny will knock Floyd out in the fight, Floyd's scared

as with the first fight floyd will open up as at least a 2+ fav. smart money is on floyd his skill set will carry him to victory. pac was suppose to look good vs those soup cans he fought. Pac chose to fight after each fighter was beaten, you know and I know that is the truth. So let's not celebrate this dude like he beat a bunch of undefeated or even streaking fighters because he didn't. On the other hand Floyd beat Marquez and Mosley while Pac was avoiding both of them not after but while. Bottom line Pac turned down 50 million+ for 15 million over blood testing. You can try to make all the sense in the world of that but that would clearly be **** because it is what it is and there is absolutely no excuse for it!!!!!!

When Cotto beat Shane, Pac was wrapping up his rematch with MAB at 130. When Marg beat Cotto, Pac won a close SD against JMM at 130
When Mosley beat Marg, Pac was just 2 months remove from fighting a dehydrated Oscar at 147, and is already considering moving down to 140..

So at what point did Pac waited for these guys to lose. He was not even part of WW mix when this 3 fought against each other.

In fact, if anything it should be Floyd who should be in the mix since he is been a WW since 2006 but he retired so that he can avoid this tough fights. By the time he fought Mosley, the three already wrapped up their fights against each other.
