Yep, but I think the Donaire vs. Montiel fight will deliver the goods. There's also Sergio Martinez vs. Sergei Dzinziruk which looks half way decent, Joseph Agbeko vs. Abner Mares in bantamweight tournament and also Froch vs. Glen Johnson and Ward vs. Arthur Abraham in the super six tournament. And if throw in Morales vs. Marquez and possibly Tim Bradley vs. Amir Khan that doesn't make for a bad first half (well not as bad as 2010, that first half was atrocious for us fans)...

I am not concerned about what Martinez said minutes after that fight.

When he had given no thought what-so-ever to his next opponent, and had not had time to consult his team, or go over any available options.

His official offer to Top Rank and Team Mayweather hold much more validity.

What do you mean he gave no thought what-so-ever next opponent. He said what he felt at the time and he barely broke a sweat, so couldn't have been tired or not thinking correctly. No reason arguing, Floyd won't fight him anyway, he only had one fight at 154 with ODLH and immediately moved back down. He will only fight at 147 lbs for now on, as he stated after ODLH. And he has never indicated at any point of moving up in weight and now would be the most dangerous time to do so (against a guy who is the legitimate middleweight champion)...

Sure the 8th division champion gimmick they brand him with is bs, but try and ignore all of the parlor tricks and confetti and look at the ability/skills of the fighter in question in addition to who he fought and those fighter's accomplishments.

Pac beating Marg for a made up belt that doesn't mean anything in terms of title legacy but is a pretty decent win considering that Marg is a fighter who has beaten and/or held his own against the best in the world.....not to mention this is a good fighter much bigger than Pac who Pac easily beat.

Look at one of my previous posts....I give manny props for beating the breaks off of MARGARITO (THE CHEATER IMO)

Hell notice how in all the posts I have made, i never mentioned his cotto catchweight, because i feel he would beat cotto anyway... (and there was no belt at stake)

But when people are fighting for belts, or rather extravagant claims, then I pay closer attention, plus I am a reasonable guy I know margarito had no bargaining power, plus he was basically sacrifcied by arum..
