seriously what did marg do to deserve the fight with pac?

let me tell you something okay since you probably don't know.

delahoya handpicked pacquiao. not the other way around.

also delahoya-hatton was what was expected in 2009. it was suppose to be in 2008 (the pac-delahoya fight took its place) but hatton wanted a tuneup with malignaggi 1st.

no one expected pac to win. when pac won , they couldn't make delahoya-hatton anymore so hatton fought pac.

          lmfao

7 fights in 3 years , 3 were the top fighters in their division arguably.

jmm was #2 only behind pac at 135. hatton was #1 at 140. cotto was #2 at 147 , though #1 was debatable because cotto beat mosley the #1 for most people.
Theirs tooo much informative facts in your posts, Pacman haters and *****s wont understand this..

Their sticking to their guns that Pacman is juicing, fights washed up flat foot over the hill weight drained fighters, and Mayweather left overs..

Thats enough to keep them happy and to help them sleep at night knowing why Pac beat up their favorite fighter or why their favorite fighter is ducking Pacman...

so now fighting in higher divisions against bigger opponents is a bad thing now?

            shame on pacquiao.
I would have rather seen him stick around at 135 instead of fighting DLH and Hatton. I would have rather seen him stick around at 147 or go down to 140 instead of fighting Margarito.

If he's after money, then that's fine, but he could have made better fights for the fans instead of chasing titles in different weight divisions.

I guess you don't understand. Oscar-B Hop was for a title. If Floyd fights Martinez at 156 that is for a title..Sugar Ray Leonard fought for the light heavyweight title at a catchweight of 168 lbs. It is a maximum weight. Do you understand that? When Floyd fought Marquez the they set a catchweight of 144 lb maximum weight. Do you understand that?

Then *****s would have complained they made him come down in weight, blah, blah, blah and should have fought him at a higher weight. Sometimes, you are damned if you do and damned if you don't...
it's really just wbc's way of making money. they saw an oppurtunity for the pac-marg fight so they offered the 154 title but in essence the fight is not really deserving of the title that's why no one is making a big deal out of it except for some bitchass *****s.

for me, pac vacating that title was some sort of getting realistic about it. it's just a paper title so it's not worth keeping it. it's all good...there's nothing to criticize about it as far as i'm concerned.

hell call him 6-time only because 126 wasn't an ABC belt it was only ring/lineal title.

i got news for you though if you're whining about the 8-weight champ thing.

the other 5- and 6-weight champs are bogus too. if not more.

delahoya. 6-weight champ? really? did he really beat sturm?

hearns. 5-weight champ? ibo 190 belt counts? IBO? or how about the wbo 168 belt hearns won. wbo had just started out. wbo might be considered a major org now but it wasn't back then.

ray leonard? he won both of the 168 and 175 belt in the same damn fight against the same fighter in a 168 fight.

lmao people who ***** at the 8-weight thing just don't know about the bs for some of the other 5 and 6-weight "champions" either.
                  TUA....TSK,TSK,TSK,

LOOK THIS TOPIC IS ABOUT MANNY, WHY WOULD I BE DISCUSSING OSCAR ??

YOU SEE I AM STICKING TO THE TOPIC, AND I ONLY DEVIATED WHEN YOU BROUGHT UP OTHER BOXERS...

IF THIS TOPIC WAS ABOUT OSCAR, I WOULD BE TALKING OSCAR, ETC.

ITS ABOUT MANNY, THE HEADING IS....
                  "MANNY PACQUIAO TO VACATE TITLE"

NOT OSCAR, AND THIS DOESNT MEAN I DONT AGREE WITH YOU ON THOSE FIGHTERS...

I CALL IT LIKE I SEE IT, AND YOU ARE CORRECT ABOUT 126....

BUT LEGITIMATE BOXING SITES AS WELL AS THE ONE YOU ARE ON RIGHT NOW STILL CALL HIM 8TH DIVISION CHAMP...LOL

SO DONT THINK I SIMPLY HATE MANNY, AS ONCE AGAIN THIS TOPIC IS ABOUT MANNY SO I AM DEALING WITH MANNY.

IF YOU WANT TO START ONE ABOUT OSCAR, I will meet you there as well, and I will give oscar hell too.

so please stick to the topic and do not dodge.... Why are you bringing up people that are not even in the title?

                  you have brought up
                  LEONARD.
                  OSCAR.
                  HEARNS.
                  ROY.
                  RUIZ.

THIS MEANS TO THAT YOU ARE SENISTIVE FOR SOME REASON ABOUT PAC....

HOW ELSE COULD YOU EXPLAIN YOUR FINGER POINTING AT PEOPLE THAT DONT EVEN BOX ANYMORE or that ARE NOT RELATED TO THE ARTICLE????? LOL

                  COME ON MY DUDE???

I am not knocking your boxing knowledge, or calling you a liar, so dont get upset, just deal with the issue at hand....

ALL I AM SAYING IS THAT WHENEVER YOU AND I ARE ON THI SITE, I SHOULD NOT HEAR YOU COMMENTING IN A PACQUIAO 8TH TIME DIVISION THREAD WITHOUT FIRST ADMITTING HES NOT IN THAT SAID THREAD, AGREED?

All of the posts here arguing over the number of titles are amusing. Why is it such a big deal to some of you, in this era of abc belts, including the lineal, ring, interim, diamond, youth, intercontinental and what have you. 8th title, it is what it is because of all these belts, legit or not, from a global org or from a piddling association, that's the sorry state of the sanctioning bodies now. Who knows, some wise guy will split up some more these divisions so it is easy to achieve and pad a boxer's championship record. Who cares!
