Also if Floyd fights Martinez at 156 and wins and moves back down and doesn't defend it we don't count that one either right?
      It's not about defending.

Mayweather fought without a catch-weight, against a genuine champion.

Manny did neither of those things.

He never intended to fight a genuine JMW opponent.....

at 154lbs, their were limited options for pac, martinez which wouldve been a great fight. cotto rematch, which isnt a good fight.

WHO ELSE COULD GET A FIGHTER HIS BIGGEST FIGHT OF HIS CAREER AFTER BEING SUSPENDED ALL WITHIN x1 YEAR??

          THERES YOUR ANSWER.....

THIS HAS BEEN HAPPENING FOR A WHILE, KING, ARUM ETC.

REMEMBER PETER MCNEELY GETTING KNOCKED OUT BY TYSON?

EVERYONE WAS LIKE WHO THE HELL IS PETER MCNEELY??
EVEN HAD A PIZZA COMMERCIAL OF HIM GETTING KNOCKED OUT BY PIZZA, IF YOU ARE OLD ENOUGH TO REMEMBER THAT...

          LOL
That was a great commercial. To be fair Margarito was out 16 months when he fought Garcia and it had almost been 2 years when he fought Pacquiao so you can't say he was suspended less than a year. I agree he didn't deserve fight but the guy has fans and makes money.

Remember before Cotto fought Pacquiao his biggest ppv and biggest payday was when Margarito beat him. Its still his 2nd biggest payday.

What did you want, Pac to fight Berto or Bradley instead of Margarito? Margarito brought the most money to the table and had been part of a successful ppv prior to the fight.

i'm sure now that 147's the limit, he'll make the smaller guys fight at his higher weight and demand his opponents meet a minimum weight, forcing them to keep it on until weigh-in.

Going into the fight it was said to be 1 and done. If Floyd could have had a catchweight he would have but he wasn't the star. He was the "B" side remember. Oscar was the star

No reason arguing, Floyd won't fight him anyway, he only had one fight at 154 with ODLH and immediately moved back down. He will only fight at 147 lbs for now on, as he stated after ODLH. And he has never indicated at any point of moving up in weight and now would be the most dangerous time to do so (against a guy who is the legitimate middleweight champion)...
I doubt that Mayweather takes that fight at this stage.

And Manny won't go anywhere near Sergio, that's for sure.

                    That wasn't the point.

FACT: the only official offer directed toward Top Rank and Team Mayweather stated that Martinez would be prepared to fight at 154..... you know, JMW, the division where Manny currently holds a title.

Anyone?? Are you sure?? Or is it just one man who uniquely did all this?

Did that anyone became a champion while moving up in weight?
Did that anyone make a killing in the PPVs?
Mention a name of a current boxer today that is doing what I'm asking.

My point is this: you're trying to show that what Pacquiao did is killing boxing. With all those multiple belts that he had...and all the catchweight ideas and everything

But what I'm asking is who among the PRESENT CROP of BOXERS had done what Pacquiao did? Your point would have been valid if there are others who did it the way Pacquiao did.

But he is the only one doing it among the current boxers, because he is the only one capable also of doing it. And is he killing boxing as a sport, at this time? Tell me.
