But the issue at JMW is the validity of Manny's opponent at 154.

Neither were deserving of a title shot at 154, although Manny gets a pass because he holds a title - albiet one with a question mark - at 147.

Margarito would be abused by any of the top JMW's, and so would Manny.

Margarito abused by the top jmws? Really? He already beat Cotto and may beat him again in the rematch. Both fighters may be "shot". Margarito could beat K9. He already took PWill to the brink. Who could he not beat who is a top jmw? Clottey moved up and Margarito beat him already. I could see Dzinzurik beating Margarito decisively.

And as far as deserving u said Manny's belt is "only" at 147. Well he got that belt from Cotto who moved up to fight for a belt at 154 and Cotto was not only coming off a KO loss but he didn't have a belt. Was he deserving?

That was a great commercial. To be fair Margarito was out 16 months when he fought Garcia and it had almost been 2 years when he fought Pacquiao so you can't say he was suspended less than a year. I agree he didn't deserve fight but the guy has fans and makes money.

Remember before Cotto fought Pacquiao his biggest ppv and biggest payday was when Margarito beat him. Its still his 2nd biggest payday.

What did you want, Pac to fight Berto or Bradley instead of Margarito? Margarito brought the most money to the table and had been part of a successful ppv prior to the fight.
