Love his style and speed... but step it up.

I said this **** two years ago... its 2011... Step up or gtfo.
I remember when he buckled down against David Estrada a couple years ago and fought a mostly non clinching high action give and take affair. I thought for sure by now he'd have made a serious mark. At that point I was on the verge of becoming a fan.

I'm a fan. I'm just not crazed enough to think that he can beat the top two best Boxers at Welterweight division.

I like Berto, I've been liking him since he was an amateur. But, his competition needs to step up. I remember making a thread about he and Ward about 2 or 3 years ago and Ward has made that step up in competition, I can't say the same for Berto.

I already know Berto is overpaid, HBO told him to step up and when he tries...he gets 5hitted on. Seriously I can respect him for @ least trying to earn the money everyone thinks he's been robbing by going after Pac and Cotto. A Cintron fight means nothing 2 me this point. It's a step back compared to the Quintana win.

A cintron fight is a step back a former champ at welterweight, but a guy in Ortiz that has struggled in the middle of the pack with 140 pounders and got outboxed in his last fight isn't?

If it could all be worked out, and I'm telling you this because I know that people are always reading about these sort of things on blogs and this and that. They say that I don't want to fight this person or that person, and that I don't want to face the big name guys.

But I'm letting you know now that if it was all up to me, after Freddy Hernandez, if I could line things up for next year then it would be Shane Mosley, Miguel Cotto and then Manny Pacquiao. If I could get all three of them next year, you know, that would be my route that I would want to go in.

Then, I think that with that, I would be able to be satisfied. That would definitely satisfy myself and that would definitely show where I'm at.

So what you're saying is Berto should only fight Pac or Cotto because he's too good for everyone else?

                      Based on what exactly?
