Eubank was pretty ugly in his older days, the first time I noticed he was ageing was in the second fight with Benn when he seemed to look 5 yrs older overnight .. but in his younger days he was very good-looking ( I'm not gay or anything )
Is this a ****ty resume?

Shoulda, woulda, coulda. It doesn't matter they didn't fight theres no point in making harsh judgments.
Anyways, I was just having fun. I'm sure you love Eubanks in a strictly heterosexual wayComment

Toney: "You're sloppy boy. You're European"
Says it all. Britain should stick to Cricket......for real.
On a general level....Hatton is semi acceptable having beaten a washed up fighter in Tszyu.....but when he faces a guy like PBF or Cotto. Forget about it.
THEN DO THE NEW SAVIOUR OF THE DIVISION MCLELLAN.
NONE OF THIS HAPPENED , OH RIGHT IT MUST HAVE BEEN A DREAM.

I was seven yrs old when I watched Banks against Giminez it was the first boxing match I saw and I went with my older bros. Also was there with my bros for Banks and Henry Wharton fight and was there for Banks first encounter with Thompson. Wharton fight and Thompson fight were great fights great mems yo, great nights of boxing man and they were Banks nights. i remember he had Thompson all over the place yo, had Thompson out on his feet many times in the earlier rounds with his accuracy and didnt even look like he was tryin, made Thompson look bad before his eye shut.
Ive got Banks career on tape with all the press conferences and all throughout '89 I noticed he was telling people that he was people that he was the "best boxer in the world" and every one thought he was just some dilusional idiot for saying that and just some fool, -but he kept winning, and winning, and winning, -and still claiming to be the best in the business and ****. Then by '91 people actually started standing up and thinking 'hang on a minute, he probably IS the best boxer in the world!' but like you say the outcome of the Watson fight wrecked him man. have the press conference after Stretch where Banks says that he is interested in fighting Julian Jackson as long as the money is right but then he got alot of abuse from the press who were saying stuff like "you have to beat the best in britain first!" and saying he was ducking Michael Watson and Banks was saying "who is Michael Watson? I don't think I've heard of him!!" (he obviously had done but was trying to be ****y) and said he had only seen Jackson fight Herol Graham and said "I'd stop that one in six to eight rounds, I don't even think I'd lose a round" But then after what Banks did to Watson I think he just hid behind a WBO belt for the rest of his career rather than push for a unification with Benn or Toney because he was reluctant to get into a war again (he didnt want another fight with Benn and had to be persuaded with a £1mill cheque waved in his face and demanded too much money to fight JT) and then he had that disastrous 'world tour' of britain and ireland on sky. But certainly wasfull of talent and potential up to the rematch w/ Watson ,,, and still full of talent after the Watson fight and probably even better physically after the Watson fight but not mentally (and mentally is most important in boxing man.Last edited by Moschino045; 09-03-2005, 11:25 PM.Comment

What drummed up the Benn fight was the ludicrously dangerous, hands down gesturing to the referee when Chris fought that Milo was taking too much punishment, and then the absolute genious camera positioning after the stunning 20 second KO of Dos Santos that basically said to Benn 'check this out.. this is what I do..' as he looked over his shoulder at the referee trying to revive poor old Reginaldo, he struck that classic pose and timed it perfectly.
I remember at the post-fight press conference after the first fight with Watson though when someone asked Barry Hearn about a unification with Mike McCallum and Hearn said "What does he bring?", we knew there and then that Eubank was only in the sport for the money.Last edited by JUYJUY; 09-01-2005, 10:42 PM.Comment
