Its true though. Hollywood Williams only loss prior to Lacy was to a guy who would absolutely decimate Calzone. Epifiano Mendoza is a very underrated fighter.....whom Kingsley IkeKe was lucky to pull out of fighting. Mendoza K.O. Britain 1.
To compare U.S.A. champions to British "Commonwealth" champions is ****ing ridiculous. You have to be blind....or British to argue with me.
Nigel and Chris had 36 world title fights between them, and neither of them ever lost to an american. I think they must of fought about 30-something americans between them, and won every single time. And what the hell does nationality count for anything? If your at the top of the rankings, you are there on merit not nationality.

There is a term that is censored on this forum....but I will re-phrase it. It's called Eurogarbage. You see the guy in my avatar? He is the exception along with Lennox Lewis in not being classified in that way....because of their wins over quality opposition who fought in the United States of America.
Toney: "You're sloppy boy. You're European"
Says it all. Britain should stick to Cricket......for real.
On a general level....Hatton is semi acceptable having beaten a washed up fighter in Tszyu.....but when he faces a guy like PBF or Cotto. Forget about it.

Well I think theres a divide between British and European lol,we always refer to Europeans as Europeans and dont refer to ourselves as Europeans. Next youll be telling me that Iran Barkley and Gerald McClellan were European.
Benn,Eubank,Watson were WORLDCLASS and theres nothing you can do to go back in time and change that.

right on the point bro, but hatton is to much of a ***** to come to tha states and fight the absolute best. klit knows to be the best he has to come to america and fight the best just like lewis did.

That is why he took the fights in the states (and or against fighters FROM the states) against decent opposition....the likes of: David Bostice, Monte Barrett, Chris Byrd, Derrick Jefferson, Ray Mercer, Danell Nicholson, and Lamon Brewster.
Many fighters whom other heavyweights are not exactly "Eager" to face.
Oh....and Live from the Boardwalk in New Jersey, he is going to put his career on the line against the hardest puncher in the division. Respect.
Benn and Watson were the top two British Middle prospects in the late 80's, their fight gained loads of hype and attention.
Chris Eubank came along and stopped Benn and Watson at their peaks, Eubank also defeated 35-0 Graciano Rocchigiani IN GERMANY (the racist chanting just spurred him on) and is the most recognisable British post-war boxer outside of the ring. Eubank was undefeated in his first 43 fights, with 19 world championship wins at both middleweight and super-middleweight, and never even having been knocked down (he slipped against Benn and Watson, they were slips not knockdowns). And he was ofcourse the game's great showman. That is ELITE in every way, every shape and every form. ELITE.
