I am not really arguing bro, just explaining why I sort of softened my stance on the cutoff date thing, and why I understand Danny's point-of-view.....1000s of athletes take OST , some the day before rewriting history ,, gimme a break , does Manny fall into a weak nauseas heap when he is cut early in a fight , why dont he just say no mass , Im bleeding more than I would in a blood test Im going to fall over , you guys put forward the most lame kid excuses , Manny is a fighter and you swallow taking a tiny bit of blood will make him weak , thats a crock .
Bottom line there is no moral , logical or sensible reason to avoid a test that the opponent must also take that is designed solely to stop cheating .
Firstly, a cutoff date..... doesn't exist.
There is no such thing.
It is a Manny'ism
I boxed. I also have a few tat's, and am not afraid of having my blood drawn, either with a needle or fist.
But I thought about it a few months ago..... man, I do not think that I would want a blood test the day of a fight, and even the day before a fight could have an affect. It fkn hurts
and it does leave a sore spot.
I cannot argue with a thing you said, I actually agree 100%.....
but I would find a 1-2, maybe even a 3-day cutoff acceptable.Comment

Pacquiao will retire after the Margarito fight. That's why Freddie Roach is making statements, and Amir Khan in talking up a Mayweather fight next year. They already know this, because Pacquiao realized he could make the same money fighting two Top Rank stiffs, instead of taking the random test and fighting Mayweather, thus leaving his fans on the internet to forever claim Floyd ducked him. I'd admit, it's looking like a smooth plan, but I see through the bull****. Talk to me on Nov 14th after he retires, then tell me I'm wrong.Comment

To be honest I dont think they would take a test real close to the fight but I think its important to the system to have the right too if they chose , its important that the fighter think he could be tested , thats the power of OST not knowing if they will or wont test ,, if you have an official known cut off date I think it defeats the purpose and cuts the testing process off at the knees ,,I am not really arguing bro, just explaining why I sort of softened my stance on the cutoff date thing, and why I understand Danny's point-of-view.....

Its one of those catch 22 deals , a bit like with the legal system and the idealism that its better for 100 guilty men to go free rather than 1 innocent man be jailed ,,, with PEDS in sport its better to test thoroughly than to let a single cheater go by , both are unrealistic but both are morally right .Comment

Maybe, but Arum wants Cotto next at 154, I am 100% sure of that. Did you read Cotto's recent announcement that he will take a short break before announcing his next opponentPacquiao will retire after the Margarito fight.
