jb, tell me.....
Back in January, during the only official negotiation.....
when Mayweather gave away the farm by agreeing to 50/50, then also agreed to pay Manny $10mil per pound if he came in overweight.....
Why didn't Manny sign ?
I mean, we all know why, we have all heard the 6 different reasons why he did not want to participate in random blood testing..... but I want your opinion jb, instead of just repeating slogan type comments.....
Manny personally used 3 different excuses himself in one interview with Brian Kenny, so which of the 6 excuses (total) given by Team Pac, do you accept as being a valid reason to duck that fight ?
BTW, if you tell me that Manny didn't want to be told what to do by Floyd, then you will be severely slapped with your own "limp-****" comment.
Which of the 6 ridiculous reasons did you accept jb ?Comment

The 50/50 purse split is fair, and both of them will be slapped with the 10mill penalty if ever one or both of them went over the specified weight limit...jb, tell me.....

Everything was doing well not until Floyd pull the rag underneath Manny's team by demanding the unexpected OST.. If you recall there was already some friction building up between the camps as a result of Floyd Sr's previous statements accusing Manny of cheating his way up the ladder... So Floyd demanding the OST is like a nail on the coffin, team Manny was terribly insulted with Floyd's actions, thus the pull out....Comment

Actually, the penalty was for Floyd only.
Actually, the testing wasn't unexpected. It was in the first bout agreement.Everything was doing well not until Floyd pull the rag underneath Manny's team by demanding the unexpected OST.. Rubbish.
Mayweather was, and still is..... a bigger draw than Manny.
And, you have completely missed the point......
jbpanama, bless him, is trying to insinuate that Mayweather is quaking in his boots at the thought of facing the mighty Pacman..... clearly, and I mean CLEARLY, Mayweather would not have agreed to 50/50 if he wanted a way out of the fight. So wake up.
Rubbish, again.
As DAZED pointed out, the weight penalty clause was solely directed at Mayweather. And, you have missed the point again.....
That ridiculous, unprecedented, demand..... would be the second most likely reason for Mayweather to pull out of negotiations behind the money split..... Mayweather signed, and waited for Manny.....
Still waiting.....
BULL**** !!Everything was doing well not until Floyd pull the rag underneath Manny's team by demanding the unexpected OST.. The OST clause was on the table right from the first negotiation. Roach and Arum have both publicly admitted that. Your post is rubbish.
Now, you had ta fkn do it didn't ya?..... you fkn wally kid.
You had to use the very lamest of Team Pac's 6 excuses to avoid random blood tests, even after I warned jb that excuse would not be accepted.
Honestly, what a limp-****ed excuse that is.....
Manny felt offended.
That excuse is a joke..... it is the very worst, and the very last, of the 6 bull**** excuses used by Team Pac.
Give yourself an uppercut kid.Comment

I don't actually care what Manny does.
I mean, I like watching him fight, he's a punching machine.
But if he prefers to fight TR fighters, and insists that he will not take random blood tests..... then fine, so be it. It will just limit his options, that's all.
Although, it is cheating history to fight for a jmw title, at catch-weight, against an undeserving fighter who could not even currently compete with the top welters.
I just can't abide this re-writing of history by sulky fan-boys, that try to make this all about their personal dislike of Mayweather.
Keep it real guys, you can still hate Floyd, you don't need to come up with a bull**** reason

I thin the "second" negotiations were very official. The president of HBO came out and stated that he talked to haymon. Greenburgh wouldn't go against his biggest earner for nothing.jb, tell me.....

So what if manny doesn't want to give blood. I have tats and it's nothing like giving blood. Even the doc's say it's not worth it to give blood close to a fight. They're only going to throw 1000 punches, why not have a big ass bruise in the crook of you elbow as well.Comment

You raised two issues.....I thin the "second" negotiations were very official. The president of HBO came out and stated that he talked to haymon. Greenburgh wouldn't go against his biggest earner for nothing.

1.) So what if manny doesn't want to give blood
I agree.
A 1-3 day cutoff for the very reason that you have outlined, is acceptable.
Insisting upon a 24-day cutoff for a raft of ridiculous reasons, is completely unacceptable, and su****ious.
2.) The second round of negotiations
Bull****.
Bob Arum publicly stated on numerous occasions (I could find you a half dozen links at least, just from boxingscene.com) that he personally negotiated a deal with GBP, who forwarded it to Mayweather for approval. Then he placed a two week " deadline " on the table, even going to the trouble of putting a count-down timer on the Top Rank website.....

After Bob Arum's conference call, Schaefer immediately released a statement which forced Arum to admit that neither him nor Ross Greenburg had even spoken with anyone from GBP.....

You got played bro.
Don't feel bad. Bob Arum has been lying about the state of fight negotiations for over 40 years.Comment
