If it was Mayweather vs Margarito, would you call it a cherrypick?

Oh my word. How is he untested at Welterweight? When he fought the best option available at WELTERWEIGHT? How can this be possible? Shane was THE best option, Peroid. Call him overrated, thats cool. But how can you call a guy who fought the best fighter at welterweight, a guy he was accused of ducking by everyone. Give the man his props.

I'll entertain the thought of shane not being shot if you entertain the thought that he might be shot.

Although the odds, probability, science and evidence that i'm right, is much more heavily in my favor.

what? what fight did you watch? I'd say that fight is more along the lines of brawling than it is boxing. Mosley is a strong dude, you don't let a guy like that tee off on you for 9 consecutive rounds, which is absolutely bonkers now that I think of it.

anyways, I've always wanted to see this fight, nothing much changed thus far, I'd still watch it.

I would've preferred to see Mosley vs Margarito 2 @154 instead of Mora.

'Shane has problems with defensive fighters and fighters who use a lot of movement and feints, and excels against fighters who are easy to hit.

Margarito's defense is absolutely Non-existant. There's nobody better for Shane(or pac for that matter) to beat up on.'

This is your very own quote, regarding Sergio Mora, your saying in this thread he looked shot against Mora then saying in another thread Shane stuggles to look good against that style (which he does).

So wheres the evidence hes shot? Because he got tired? He always gets tired, go and watch his fights. Even then, his best rounds against Mora were the later rounds, he was still letting his hands go in the last round.

He almost knocked down Floyd Mayweather, you know? Arguablly the best defensive fighter of this era, never offically been knocked down. Yeah buddy, shot fighters do that all the time.

He's only 'shot' because Mayweather beat him. Period.

Regardless to if he was shot or not, he was the best option out there, thats a fact. There was no one else for him to fight who was better, or more dangerous than Shane Mosley, his last fight prior being the utter domination and the first guy to ever KO Margarito. Just give him his props man.

If you wan't to see shot, go watch Jose Luis Castillo's performance against Gomez, watch Morales, Barrera, there SHOT. Mosley was not shot, and i also believe if he fights someone freindly to his style match up, he still doesnt look shot.

The fact is, Shane was only ranked number 1 because he beat Margarito. 2 years before he fought mayweather, and he was ALREADY aging.

He might have been number 1 when he beat Margarito, but that was before 2 years of inactivity, why is it so hard to grasp that shane MIGHT be shot(I know he is because I have eyes and I watched his last 2 fights- but w/e)

2 years ago, the celtics won a championship, and they were incredible, but they're old now. It doesn't mean they're still the best today just because they were the best 2 years ago, and that you should just hand them the championship and just disregard the playoffs.

My point is, you can't say for sure that Shane WASN'T shot, but it's highly likely that he is. Fighters who have been in less wars than Shane has been in( and he's been in a lot) have been shot faster than just 38 years old.

I bet if Pac dominated Shane on May instead of Floyd, I'd be hearing a much different tune. In fact, I'd bet my life on it.

I would say I was wrong and that Mayweather is better than I thought?

You can say an infinite amount of ifs. If I won the lotto, would I be happier? If my gay ass boss died, would my life be better?

You can go forever, but there's only one truth, and the truth is, I think Margarito is gonna give Floyd the fight of his life- moreso than Jose Luis Castillo did.

You saw his last 2 fights? But you just said Shane doesn't do well against defensive fighters, was he shot when he lost to Forrest twice in a row? Then arguablly lost to Oscar, then lost 2 fights to Winky in a row, all in a row? Was he shot then? By your logic he was shot, 'you saw his past 5 fights' Right?? But no, he wasn't shot, he just had bad style match ups, like YOU just stated in the other thread, Shane doesnt and never will look good against guys who box or constantly mpve, Period.

Your comparing sports now, there complety different, not comparable at all.

You would bet your life you would be hearing a different tune from me??? You dont even know me dude. And if you read any of my posts concerning Pacqiauo, which evidently you havn't, you would know that i give Pacqiauo tons of credit, the only big fights i discredit on his entire resume are Oscar and Morales 3, every other big fight i give him credit for, thats includes all his recent fights that people discredit, i have been following the sport and Pacqiao for years and years and years, Pacqiauo has an incredible resume, Period. Had he fought and beat Mosley, i would have said he beat the #1 WW, the Linear WW champion, and the p4p #3, and THE best option out there possible, due to the reason that, its a fact that Shane was THE best option.
