In every boxers career when they get looked at closely as pac will one day be looked at, he will be judged for the catch weights and for the morales lose and marquez draws.

In the future years after pac retires you wont be able to talk about pac without mentioning marquez and morales and barrera.

If marg wins, the catch weight thing wont be such a big deal because it would have proved why he keeps fighting at catch weight and this time a fighter at catch weight wasn't effectd by the weight, but we'll see.
i forgot to add, to prove my point remember this term "bum of the month"

Without offense, but dont be ****** and be more insideful. If you want to blame someone for catch weight then blame the boxing authorities no the boxers. So ask them to make everyweight class fix at one weight and thats it.

But wait a minute, why if thats so easy to achieve what Pacquiao has done, why we dont have a bunch of fighters with the same achievements? but there isnt any remote close as an active fighter?

Stop playing the devil trying to hurt the hard work ethic of a good man who is doing nothing but to making boxing better and entertaining. Lets give credit to those who credit deserve even they are your favorites or not and lets be real, for some of you guys is even hard to wakeup in the morning to be on time in the office let alone hard training an dedication at the highest levels.

        not at all
the names are what counts, not the belts by themselves
take the straps out of the equation and Pac's resume remains sick

it wont hurt his legacy. he had been fighting in a lower weight classes for more than 13 years. nobody ever thought a 106 lbs could go up and compete in a welterweight. who would have thought his best weight would be 140 lbs and above? he won lineal titles in lower weight classes. fighting a real welterweight was like testing waters. against Cotto. now he is doing it again. i believe if he win and stay in jr middleweight he will be fighting a 154 lbs fighter. i'd rather see him in a welterweight though.

every fight is a "fixed" weight. But pac is a superstar who like most superstars in any industry can control the busniess in pacs case the weights.

If you are a "casual boxing fan" mostly likely you are not a boxing fan but a ppv fan. You like to watch the big fights watch the 24/7 get hyped and thats where it ends, you like to watch the stories and myths hbo or ppv sets for you about these warriors.

But a true boxing fans can not be fooled with a a black blinds over his eyes. He knows the advantages and disadvantages not because he knows everything but because of the "facts" of the fight.

You like pac for his weight climbing weights. Well here are other fighters you may like that you are unfamiliar with that have done some nice weight climbing, Vinny Pazianza, Dingaan Thobela.

Pac will be judged accordingly to his boxing career just like any boxer who gets judged accordingly.

based on height and weight, jack dempsy may have been superman when he face jim jefferes.

And it certainly will harm his legacy. Because those title fights would have counted for a lot with the boxing historians if the fights had not been at catchweight, but will count for very little now.

That is enough to absolutely guarantee he won't be considered a top 10 ATG even if he beats Mayweather, whereas that ranking would have been a possibility otherwise.

Anyone who looks at the ATG rankings will find that Pac is ranked a lot lower than he otherwise would have been, that's the point. He'll be ranked very highly but significantly less highly than he would have been if those fights had not been at catchweight.

In any case, anyone who reads the boxing history books will be aware of this, and anyone who learns about boxing history from someone who has read boxing history books will also be aware of it.

Every weight class is fixed at one weight. You can weigh anything you like up to that weight. Anyone who tries to force an opponent to weigh less than that maximum weight is creating an un-level playing field. End of story.

It would be a cowardice move if he wasn't gonna win anyway. Y don't u check Pacquiao's coward move when he straight up RAN from a Marquez rematch after he got his robbery victory.
